Bump for this...

Still room in all run groups (though Intermediate is filling up quickly, only about 5 slots left.)

Instructors needed... PLEASE sign up ASAP so I'm not rushing to make the assignments.

Crap, I want to do this, but won't know if I have a car until much closer to the event. :( Fortunately Malia was planning on running the Miata anyway, so she'll still be driving.

If I fit under the roll bar with the stock seats, or even any other seat on sliders, I'd be all over it. But I'd have to bolt the seat to the floorboards to get even close to 1" of clearance, which would make it impossible for Malia to drive it.

Sounds like a job for the new track event insurance...

Chris - Thanks - I'm still _really_ hoping I'll have mine back together by then. Doesn't need to be pretty, just functional and safe. Hope to get the flippin insurance company to return a call sometime next week when I'm NOT in a meeting. :x

All I can say is... WOW

The last week and a half REALLY kicked this event into high gear. We're now at almost 140 attendees... about 100 of those are STUDENTS!! That's incredible for a non-VIR event and we couldn't be happier.

Thanks to all the instructors who stepped up to help out, and thanks to National Speed in Wilmington for providing 10 new entries... including our first GT-R!

Sorry to those of you who weren't able to make it!

Try to be there before 9:00 ... but since they are allowing camping, you might be able to get in later. There will be a gate attendant.

I'm working on the attendee email packet, but the email blaster seems to be not working correctly at the moment. (MotorsportReg just upgraded servers again and it seems to have been done somewhat hastily.)

I talked to the folks at CMP today to rent a garage ... just doing my part to ensure we have great weather ...

If you plan to arrive Thursday - the track is being used by the Palmetto guys until 5PM ... so they're asking that you give them 30 minutes or so to get packed up - at least if you want garage access.

Does CMP charge for camping?

I'm almost positive Stacy mentioned this in one of his emails ... I believe they do charge a small fee like VIR does ...
