I have:
Two 8' "regular" ratchets (used in X on front anchors - could use 6' here, but I like the flexibility of having a little extra strap)
Two 8' ratchets with integrated wheel strap (used on rear wheels)
Two 6' "regular" ratchets (used in X on rear anchors)

I'd guess, since you will only be adding ~1' of length on either end to the trailer, and your car is longer than my Miata, that these lengths would work for you too. I don't think I've ever tied up less than 1' of extra strap after getting things tight. YMMV, of course.

As far as a spare tire mount, I took the flimsy bolt-on one that went on the tongue and welded it behind the driver's side fender, in front of the taillight. It's out of the way and it sticks up high enough to be able to see when I'm backling up without a car...nice reference point. An dI don't have to crawl under or around anything.
As far as getting it welded on,you should be able to order it that way or at worst I think there are a few welders in the club that could do it for you.
