Asked, answered, thanks 8)

That's a marketing, upcharge boondoggle. Once the bar is in the car, the rear seats are WORTHLESS.

After reading this over, it looks like it'll be worth doing the same thing on my car so I'll be 6-pt legal.

Just to make sure I'm planning things right - does this sound like everything I need:

- Autopower 4-point race bar (1.75in DOM tubing)
- Corbeau FX1 Pro seats
- Seat-back braces for both seats (required b/c the FX1's arent FIA approved, right?)
- G-Force camlock belts - modified to 6-point base

I was considering paying extra to get a removable diagonal brace and removable harness brace to save weight at AX's, but wonder if it is really worth the trouble.

The $$$ adds up fast...

Kendt... if you are planning on purchasing belts, why not just buy the 6-point G-Force belts for $139? Why modify? IF you do already have the belts, post them up for sale to someone who doesn't need to modify, then buy new belts you'll only need to replace in 5 years, not any less (like you might with the belts you already have)

Same goes for you Ryan!

1 set is brandy new 5 pt and the other set is 1 year old 5 point. I got my issue solved. Nice 4"x4" backing plates, 1/2" grade 8 mounting hardware and the added bonus of all my brake lines still intact

Got the transponder wired up like it needs to be, got the Oil temp guage wired in and 80% of a shift light wired up.

All I need now is the OTHER seat mount to show up via brown and I am golden :)

What did you end up doing - 2 legs to 2 plates, or did you just go 5-pt for now?

Yeah - but that last 20% can be a bitch  - my LED and RPM switch are still waiting for me to get my tach driver installed.

You went with Corbeau sliders, then? I'm thinking of just doing the same despite some lackluster reviews. I've asked for enough car help last year - I need to save any remaining favors for the rollbar install

I'm going to assume that you're mounting things in double shear, no?
