So now that I have a new track machine, it has 300zx/Z32 turbo brakes front and rear.

Hawk HT-10's are $220/set for the front (yeah I am missing the miata a bit here)

The HP+ are about 1/2 that but may not be up for the task.

Any other good pads out there for the beefy Z32 brakes?

You may wanna ask Marty H. to see if he knows of any.

Depending on their longevity in your situation, the HP Plus may be OK. They stop just fine, but only last about 3 events on my car. You'll be faster and lighter than me so that will be another factor to consider.

:)

Lucky you, that pad is the exact same pad Subaru used on the WRX for a year or two. And I plan to hit the Subaru market like a Spec Miata: Hard and often!

YOU GO BOY!!!!

I can probably make a HP+ work for R'ham and use for AX and street after that.

Ask Vincent about how the HP+'s worked on my car yesterday at Rockingham. IMO they sucked worse than the HP10s we burned up Saturday. They may do better on a lighter car. Carbo Tech pads were suggested by the fast Corvette guy.
Personally, I'm really glad you found the car you wanted.

As another data point, the HP Pluses worked great on my car, at least as far as I could tell. I didn't feel like they lost anything throughout the weekend.

But man, you should see the dust! And they heat-treated my rotors blue

On the Z32's the Carbotech Panther Plus and XP8/XP10 seem to work better than the Hawks, especially than the HP+. The Z32's are just too heavy. I don't know what car you are running them on, but if it's significantly lighter, then the hawks maybe ok.

ANother couple of Pads that a lot of the Z32 guys recommend is the Poterfield R4s and the CF XR2(F)/XR3(R) combination

96 240sx which should tip the scales at about 2600 w/o driver.

Admittedly an autocross perspective, but... I'm using the Carbotech Panther Plus on the TA, street and AX, and there's two things I'd note.

The dust is truly amazing: the street wheels were chrome when I bought the car, last year they looked gunmetal, this year they're black, and they get an auto car wash before every event. I wear nitrile gloves even to set the tire pressure in the morning so I don't get black all over everything. When I'm running r-comps I have to wipe the wheels down after taking them off the car after four autocross runs.

Looks like they do (to my mind) significant rotor wear. Two seasons of autocrossing and it looks like I'll be looking at new rotors over the winter.

OK, third thing, and the real reason I'm using them: they stop the car. Now. With feel and initial bite, and good modulation. There's no ABS on my car (well, there is, but it works as well as the A/C, i.e. not) and I haven't flat-spotted a Hoosier yet.
