Geez I wish I had someone from the club running with me at the National Corvette Museum event at VIR full. But all the waxers stayed home, carnuba Jagger and zymol Remchek were nowhere to be seen.

carnuba Jagger and zymol Remchek were there with Chin the following 2 days. Tons of track time :D Lots of really fast cars in their advanced group. I had a good time and my new exhaust system stayed together  And those Hoosier R6s grip is awesome!

Sorry Bernie, as much as I wanted to run with them, I am not paying for a track event in January that doesn't run until July. I'll run with someone else instead.

not to mention the snub we got from the bunch we met at the Sleep Inn. elitist waxers apparently.

i also think they suffered from "points north-atosis"

Graham there were some incredibly fast folks at the NCM event also I hear that a number of them were sub 2:10, 07 Z06's were everywhere, and in the hands of drivers like Popp and Farmer etal they were wicked quick. Missed you, had I known you were at the Chin event I'd have loaned you the trackmate.

No doubt. I followed the thread over on CF and saw the laundry list of fast drivers that would be there. I'm really glad to see that all the hard work Tom and Roc have done is paying off. I'm not impressed with the NCCC.
They should be the ones creating an HPDE program. So it's nice to see the NCM get involved. If it wasn't for Tom Bohlman and his efforts this would have never happened. Sounds like you all had a great time.

I guess I should have called you. I would have really liked to try the Trackmate for a weekend. I was trying 2 different sets of Hoosiers and experimenting with some different ideas. Would be nice to see how that plays out on DL to find out which is really quicker vs what feels quicker/slower. The R6s feel much better than the Rolex tires. 2:10 is my goal for when I go back in November if I can get my butt out to grid early and get some clean laps.

I've got to get the car corner weighted. I don't like the balance at the moment. It's leaning left when I don't have a passenger. I used Farmer Steve for ballast for one session. The balance felt much better. My son came up the 2nd day and rode with me for a couple of sessions. Even with some of the accidents the 1st day that put a bit of a damper on things it was an excellent 2 days at the track. Logged a good 300+ miles.

Well Bernie started it and he drives a Mini. Whenever he is in that hair dresser mood anyway

See us Corvette guys can hold you up in the turns on track and then on the forum after the event. Cause we're amphibious

Are you going to take that Bernie.

I drive a mini because I am perfectly secure in my masculinity and have no compensation issues. AND I am too young for a vette!

In my estimation age is not the mitigating factor in the purchase of a vette. A near death experience was my justification, besides if your unlucky and die you won't have to pay for it. On the other hand if you survive you've got a big car payment---but you'll be happy about that
Anybody need their hair done
