Hey gang,

Just wanted to stop in and say "hi". Many of you guys I know already, and I am sure there are plenty that I don't. Since I run the majority of the THSCC track events on the calendar, I figure that it is about time that I join THSCC again. I was actually a member for a year or so back in '98 when I was living and working in the Raleigh-Durham area. Do to a layoff I ended back in Roanoke, VA and have been here since.

I had a great time at the North Course event as well as the event we did with MAARC on the South Course. I am planning on doing CMP and The Rock this year as well. Won't make it to Roebling...just too long of a drive. Anyways, just wanted to check in, and I am sure I will see you guys around soon.

David - I was sweating it a little bit...I did not think that I had a "colorful" enough driving record to make the cut. :D

Ron - The car will be ready for sure. By the time that CMP rolls around it should have the new rear under it with better gearing (read: more speed) and a real set of tires under it. You know, the kind that don't have any tread.

Take care, and thanks for the welcome.

In my years in the club we did vote against one person joining the club. (other than me) He was an EPA employee who drove a 911, had a clean driving record, and had a very low check number. This was back when Kurt Spitzner was president.

Yes I voted against you joining the club.
