w/o a roll bar/cage?

I searched these forums and found two threads with two conflicting answers.

I found a guy selling a set cheap and they might be handy for autox. I wonder if theyre legal for HPDEs (not time trials) for THSCC and BMWCC HPDEs..

id also be using the factory 3point for the streets.

just trying to guage if they make any sense or not.

Schroth FMVSS/DOT-legal harnesses are allowed for the HPDE if they are certified for installation in your specific car...

Talk to someone in the HDPE/TT group one-on-one if you have questions.

If is has a DOT label on it, AND is the model designed for your
car-that would listed in Schroth's catalog and/or literature -then they
should be fine. However, many of Schroth's harnesses were DOT ceritified with specific seats as stated in the Schroth's catalog. Its the drivers responsibility to provide us with the documentation. If you can't find the documentation then you got to assume it is not DOT certified.

You can go to Schroth's web site and download their entire Catalog.
It wil tell you exactly what DOT harnesse they make for what vehicles,
how they are mounted, and what seats they were certified with.

Sorry, you have to do some research to get a definatie answer
these are difficlut to deal with in the context of a Forum thread.
