Anybody know where to get the best deal on a camera mount, I can do ghetto. I have been trying to figure out how to modify and existing tripod or something. Any ideas?

Do you have a roll bar? If so, I easily made a camera mount out of a standard exhaust pipe clamp. The catch is that the camera will be mounted upside down, so it's best if you have one of those fancy cameras that will automatically flip the picture back the right way.

Ghetto....well I can't do that.


I have the IO port that VK mentions. I bought mine used, but have been quite happy with it. It's not the greatest at dampening vibration, but if the camera is firmly screwed into the mount and the safety straps are on tightly, I don't even need the camera's image stability turned on.

The easiest and cheapest I've seen is a headrest mount. Rob made one for his car. Maybe he can tell you how he made his.

I actually got the one I have from Keith Quistorff. However, here's a link that shows you how to build one really cheap. It works exactly the same way that mine does.
