So, with all this talk of fast times at Rockingham, I figured I would start this to see what we can expect at VIR Full in Feb.

Last year, Ron won both days, with Sunday being his fastest at a 2:25.9

Ron apparently now has a faster car, which is good. And apparently the other guys have stepped up their programs, especially Jeff Underwood, who won CSP a couple of times this year. Including Nicholson's times in this discussion, as his car is an ITA car, makes this even more interesting.
He beat Ron at VIR South, and it sounds like they are pretty much dead even at Rockingham.

So, this begs the question of what to look for next year. A new ITA track record was set at the Goblin's Go race a couple of weeks ago at 2:18.9. While I don't expect to get there in a TT format with no drafting, limited time to get into a rhythm, etc, I would think 2:20s would be pretty doable in my car with good weather.

What do the rest of you expect?

A new SM track record at 2:18.5 was also set at Goblins Go. A CSP car should be able to beat that easily.

I want to be closer to a 2:20 than a 2:25.

But I have a way overweight ITA car.....

If I hit a 2:20, everyone will know about it, because I'll be sure to tell everyone.....

How much does your car weigh with your skinny behind in it?

Your ITA spec weight is 2490 w/driver.

Is it a bad thing that I have the ITCS saved on both my home and work computers?

Matt, I think it's time to gut it and put a real cage in. You'll go faster.

My prediction: Bowie will top CSP with a 2:20.x.

I'm gonna have to bring my "A" game and/or a fresh cylinder head to pull that one off, but it will sure be fun trying!

By the way, I did register in CSP. ITA all alone would be boring.
