You think they are going to let you run Class B with a K24? Good luck. :) - AB

They bitch about us running Class B with a D16. The K24 is sitting at my engine builder's shop. I don't think that I'd want to use it for LeMons anyway; that's way too much $ to blow apart endurance racing.

Heh. We might get away with it for one race, and likely not an entire one race. We'd have to set the rev limit to 3k to make us all behave.

Having driven Lumpy -- Roger's "real race car" -- a K24 in Duff would be suicidal. The only thing that reins in Lumpy is the lack of safety gear (no cage, no harnesses, etc.) -- if you really drive it, you can't stay in the seat.

And Lumpy has a low-compression B20 VTEC, which is much better than a D16, but nowhere near what a 12:1 K24 Frankenstein will do.

And a super charger, that wasn't connected when I drove it. And it's lighter than Duff. (it also costs more than every penny that has ever been spent on Duff, including the cage)

A few enterprising Miata guys developed a subframe and oil pan to put a K motor into the NA/NB chassis. It's expensive, but it is 200whp and 190+ ft-lbs of naturally aspirated torque.

I know that the serious S2000 guys blow up their F20/22Cs, they do a franken K20 head on a K24 motor build. Revs just as high, makes as much power, but has an considerable bump in torque.
