Heh. I'm going to need you to make 9 more and submit them to NHTSA side impact testing. :-)

Like I said, better (stronger) than factory, but the failure modes worry me.

That's the main structural member for that side of the car. Those two rails and the transmission tunnel are what gives the car it's strength.

It's a unibody car; the main structural components of the middle of the car are formed out of sheet metal. It has structural rigidity, but it's still a thin piece of metal and the side bars do not have support that would be acceptable to any sanctioning organization because they are only secured at one end.
