Well I guess it is just one question. How does one get involved with a LeMons or ChumpCar team? Now that the 2011 season is winding down I have been deciding what to do for 2012 and would like to get involved with the LeMons and/or Chumpcar racing. My issues are I don't have a team or a place to build/keep a car as I live in a condo complex. Words of wisdom and advice are what I need since we have plenty of experienced teams on here.

Do you want to help build a car from scratch, join an existing team, or just rent seats?

It would be fun to start Simon v2.0 and pool resources as a 2-car team, but someone else with a lift, garage, tools, welder, etc would need to head up the effort... I even have a theme in mind...

I would prefer to join a team or build a car and not just rent seats as I go. I have the mechanical know how, time and budget to be part of a team just not head it up as i have no place to keep a car.

Seriously. Call him. A busted e30 with a glorious history is in need of some attention to return to a competitive state. It might be a good fit.

Chump build in progress. Integra is awesome. At the CMP event right now can hoping for a smooth weekend of sorting out the car.... :)

We could possibly use a back person. Right now the team is slowly starting to come together. (If we build it they will come...)

Car is getting the cage the second week of November.

I did not intend for my comment to put anyone down. Just saying, the core team is put together. If for some reason one of the team members can't attend, then I'd be open to a rent-a-ride and would add you as someone to contact.
