In the dry I still don't agree the Star Specs are better than the Azenis, I'd say they are about equal. Since the new K compound arrived and Falken jacked up the price, we have run the Dunlops because they are better in the wet.

As long as the Azenis don't get over 40 PSI they are fine IMO. We start ours at 28PSI cold and don't have any problems...except the one-wheel-peel that is.

Great info. I really appreciate the willingness to share info with us to get started on the build. We have already hit one major hiccup but its all in the spirit of racing and what types of things can and will happen.

Engine sounded great when we picked the car up. Well after running it for awhile this weekend it started to rattle on the bottom end. Good thing I have a good strong engine already, gonna have to tear this one down and see what's up.

So you're putting a Honda engine in an E30 huh? The judges will love that!

Damn, you're getting worse!

I still think a hot 2.3L Pinto engine would kick ass in an E30, but nobody has attempted it yet.

I wouldn't let a Rover motor power my weed eater  :stick:

The plan is to stick with the original powerplant till that isn't a viable (good) option anymore. YMMV

C'mon now is the time to put something better in there since the current BMW engine needs to come out. Maybe a 4.3L from a late model S10?

If you keep the eta motor from overheating...it will run for a long time. If it overheats, it's a paperweight. We have a couple of M20 paperweights at Walter's house.

Ask Patrice about a ragedy 2.3L Pinto motor sometime. I remember Randy beating a certain 911RS with one.
