Had a great time at CMP this weekend, but I lost my cell phone on Sunday. If anybody ran (or runs across) an iPhone. Let me know.

Nope, not yet. It's probably still sitting out there someplace.

I assumed you called it? The iphone is supposed to be smart enough to answer right? It's like the BMW of phones or so I've heard. :P

Or you called CMP, right? They are some very helpful and nice folks. Try Sylvia:

They were helpful and have my business card if it shows up. I spent a lot of time retracing my steps while calling it, so I'm not sure where it could be laying around.

By any chance, do you have MobileMe with Location Services turned on on the phone?
You'd be able to track it that way.

No mobile me, and probably won't use that. I'm not sure there's value in that subscription. I just loaded FoneHome on my new iPhone www.myfonehome.com. The siren thing works pretty well. Now that I'm prepared, I won't lose the thing.

I received a phone call today. Apparently the National Karting Association had an event this weekend at CMP and somebody found my iPhone and turned it in. :o They charged it and called the number listed as Home in the contact list. Wow!!

I think I'm more shocked that it worked after sitting outside all winter.

That's crazy! Where the hell, at CMP, could it have been where it didn't get wet? They even got enough snow down there this winter that they did a snow driving day. It had to be in a bathroom or something (ick!). There just isn't much covered where someone wouldn't have seen it before *now*, I wouldn't think. But no way it got wet and survived...

Pretty cool to get it back, I gotta say.

Do you have the "Find My Phone" AP?

OOPs must read dates. Thought this sounded familiar. But damn, a working product after that long. I'm glad I got one too
