being off-line at CMP is not a good thing. very slow and too much braking. the carousel is a PITA until you really get a feel for it.

I can't imagine we would ever run anything other than full course for our HPDE's.

Rodney Ryan says the track is flat. Well, not quite. Nice elevation change in turn 8 and nice run from 3 to 4. Its not as hilly as VIR so in that case yes, flat. But enough elevation change to make it fun.

As for the carousel being a pain, I disagree. Certainly its a challenge and great when you get it right.

CMP does have a reputation (mostly deserved) of eating brake pads. That said, I think it has a nice flow and offers enough challenge to keep you entertained. A couple blind turns 93 and

, a couple quite flowing turns (13 and

and a couple quite low speed turns (1, 11 and 14) all come together to give you a good feeling of accomplishment when (if?) you master it.
