Yep that's it. Excellent that you have it done already. that means with track pads and all the other stuff already done you're ready to hit the track! Sorry about CMP not working out. Just gives you extra time to get ready for Feb.

Will the YTD TT points results be updated before the event? I need to figure out which set of tires to bring.

Haha, Marty.

I'll probably just run the 50+ heat cycle NT01s and leave the A6s for next Spring.

I'll check with Mark, but I thought the YTD results were updated.

I'll be in the same boat with RA1's on a bunch of heat cycles... Seems like this set of tires didn't go as long as the previous set. Well, they do have 7 hpde weekends on them (maybe 50+ cycles) I think that is a bunch even for a RA1. I am really not sure they are worth driving on because they were soooo slick at the last CMP event.

I'm try to find some tires before CMP but I think it will have to wait until next year since all the safety stuff needs to be upgraded.

Great weekend, though an expensive one with the Spec E30.

Corded both left tires on Saturday - and they were relatively new shaved Toyo RA1s. :( None of my Miata know how/experience is cleanly translating to a BMW.

I had some slightly larger, 2+ year old RA1s left over from the SC'd Miata that I threw on Sunday. They rolled, but didn't offer much lateral grip. While I didn't improve on my laptimes from this summer's event at CMP, I did establish a new comfort level of driving a very loose, slippery car. That in itself was a major accomplishment.

I saw a lot of cameras taking pictures. Any info on some being posted somewhere?

tons of fun for me too. it was great seeing so many e30s out there, evan and i had our STS (sh-t tire showdown) sat afternoon and it spilled over to sun am, i think we corded five tires between the two of us. i set a new personal best lap, just in time for the race next month! two great students, one of whom bested my lap time by a full second, not bad considering it was his first time at cmp. wish all track weekends could be like this one.

Marty,

I gave you every opportunity on Sunday to set the FTD, but I hear you let someone else take it from you......

a little late in posting, but what a freaking blast! Corded my old v700's and trashed a new set of carbotech xp10 pads. Great weekend! Hat's off to everyone; to the organizers for putting on a fine event that was mostly incident free and to all drivers for staying somewhat sane on course. As to the weather, well, you simply could not have asked for anything better.

I had Ed Zerby as an instructor and enjoyed his coaching and feedback. Took me a while to get the carousal down, but Ed got me though it.

I saw several folks taking pics. Are any of those going to be posted and offered for sale? Since this was 2 first for me (first time at CMP and first time having the mustang on track), I'm interested in buying some of the track photos.

I also have some video of the track w/ the go pro mounted on top and outside of the front window. Great way to see the track. I'll post as soon as I chop it down some.

Still waiting to hear about the Photos but the TT points and YTD points should be up today or tomorrow.
