The other place to be yesterday was here at New River Air Station in Jacksonville.

Bernie’s best run yesterday which was good enough for 2nd in pax. Ken Portious was 1st in pax with his GS Mini. Enjoyable day, warm, but a good breeze all day. 6 runs and finished by about 4 PM with a lunch break and on site food concessions-and indoor plumbing. The use of the asphalt for start and finish isn’t the greatest due to the narrow width, but the concrete is very good and they usually have about a 60 second course. Jeff Eng was there, of course, and won his class, and Colin-I played in the dirt on Saturday-came and won his class.

Seriously, for a different type of course than what we’ve grown accustomed to running, I’d recommend a run down to Jacksonville to one of these events.

I liked the stop sign at the finish. :)

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Yea, I know, cute. Actually, that's about 70 feet past the finish and does a couple of things. First it keeps drivers from going too fast back into the pit area. Second, you get a ticket at registration with your class and number. After each run they have a course worker at the stop sign to write your time on the ticket. It's actually a pretty good way to keep your times handy and acts as a second backup if there's a problem in T&S.
