In case you missed it on the info page - below is a preview of the fun ahead at the Danville Airport this Sunday!

Yes, that’s right, this is your opportunity to take a whack (literally) at one of your favorite THSCC autocross VP’s – Wes Eargle!

It all started when Wes decided to post an unflattering picture that he “claimed” was one of your event chairs. Said event chair decided to get even and let everyone else join in the fun. Expected highlights:

Special “Kenny cones” plastered with Wes’s face – just ready for the whacking. We are asking that all competitors keep track of the number of whacks they give the Wes Cones and make a $1 donation to The V Foundation for every whack. This will be done on the honor system. Money will be collected at the bus.

If we can work out the logistics, there will be a Wesata (re: Wes Pinata). For a small donation to The V Foundation, you can take another whack at Wes via the Wesata.
We are asking anyone that has funny and, better yet, embarrassing stories and/or PICTURES about/of Wes, to please send them to Chris Peterson for incorporation into the day.

This is all in good fun (and maybe an attempt to teach Wes a lesson about messin’ with the bull!)

And now - some business....I'm trying to tie up some loose ends, so I'm sure you guys will let me know if things are already taken care of....

If I remember correctly, gate worker assignments have already been made for the year. Will someone please confirm?

Also, last I heard, we need someone to take the bus after the event on Sunday. Any takers????

$1 for every cone hit? I'm gonna go broke.

That is correct - myself or Don will post if there is a need for a substitute.

I don't know if he takes bribes

My co-driver has a concern about going bankrupt after hitting all the cones. for her benefit, is this a participate at your own will, or a mandatory thing? (She is running either way.)

And by "voluntary", Eric means that the donation may be made with either cash or a memorial moonwalk during trophies. ;)

Had a great time today. The A Stock battle royale was a blast, even if I didn't quite make it into the front lines (closer though).

Congrats to Chris for the great FTS drive in my S2000 today! I think she likes it.

Wow! What a dynamite course. Thanks. While a little fast for my gerbils, it gave me the opportunity to push myself, which was perfect for after the school on Saturday. It’s sooo cool to come away thinking that while I really wanted to be in the 48s, I felt like I held my own OK. 8) Congratulations to all the gals who kicked butt yesterday, especially if they took their Sweeties to the woodshed *clears throat* Chris! (We know who we are.) Good job.

Again, thanks to Eric and Chris for chairing, and to Wes for being a good sport.

Gwennie

very fun course, I really enjoyed the backside, I need to work on braking hard and not getting into the ABS, I know I threw away a lot of time on the chicago box b/c of this.

Congrats to Lee for the ST win (as usual). I know the time was out there that I could have beaten him, I'm just not sure if I have the skill yet to find that time. I know I threw away a lot at the very beginning and a lot at the end. I watched a lot of people go to first for the last turn, was this really that much faster? I never tried it cuz I was worried I'd unsettle the car too much with a rough downshift.
