Jim F. won the Arkansas Tour by 3.6 seconds and didn't even take his last run on Sunday.

Also, he won the Lincoln Pro last month along with the Honda Tuner Challenge.

Jim is really on a tear.

Congratulations!!

3.6? Seriously? That has to be a typo!

I'm pretty sure he coned away a national championship by a similar margin last year, isn't that right Eric?

Congrats on the win Jim! Also want to congratulate Jay on winning A Stock in a rather stout class as well as Chris Cline winning in STX.

Keith, have you heard that Jay was supposedly running a 315/335 combo on his CR at the Tour? Karl and I are interested in confirming that was true. If so, that is a staggering about of tire for an S2000 and potentially lethal for the class. It's so much tire that I'm having trouble grasping that it could be true.

Even though I was working impound during their heat, I didn't happen to notice his tires. I do know that Christopher Travis (4th at Nationals in FWD SM Civic) has done it and you can see them here: See the Picture in Post #11 - AB

Thanks Eric! I think the biggest factor is the awesome instruction I've received from the fine folks over at the SoloPro Driving School. :)

I made my first real change to the Integra since I got it last year and it definitely seemed to help. It wouldn't turn at all on the concrete in Lincoln but an 1/8" of toe out in the rear made all the difference in Blytheville. David and I will probably be in a spin-cycle on asphalt now but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.

I didn't hear anything about Jadrice running monster tires but I wasn't paying much attention. I remember him complaining of rubbing issues with the 275's or 285's he ran at the NCAC last year but who knows?

Lincoln: Where a Type R can turn into an understeering BBQ buffet. 'grats again Jim.

—David, who's really looking forward to this weekend after missing getting his fix in G'ville.

As Aaron said Chris Travis is running the 315/335 combo on his CR or I am pretty sure he is. (Chris has been known to bend the truth some) I know Jay has been running a 275/295 stagger on his CR. I am going to contact him to see what he took the win on this past weekend.

Keith

Jadrice told me at Laurinburg that he was going to switch back to the 245/275 combo. Said he felt the larger ones were "unnecessary." Of course, this is the same guy who's been defying the experts all this time, running a stock front swaybar, saying "oh yeah, it's fine, the car is great." And then he put a huge front bar on and went all over the internet telling people how great it was. And we're all sitting there, silently thinking to ourselves "Jadrice, we've been telling you this for months now."

Maybe he changed his mind again.

Well, if a 315 can be stuffed onto a 7" rim, we can stuff one onto a 8.5". I just ordered some new 315 fronts and 325 rears for DC. - AB

I was just told he ran 245's all around this past weekend. I am planning on sticking with the normal stagger since the car is working so well right now. He put the Saner bar on his car after a Triad event where Joe Magyar took a run in the car and said this car could be faster if you just put a bigger front bar on it. He put the Saner bar on the middle setting last I knew and loves it.

My sources are saying the 315/335 combo thing is a joke started by Chris Travis (in that thread posted above). Can't be done and 275/295 is the largest tire combo (likely what he pictured in that thread, in fact). Or so I'm told.

Well, if Jim can put a 275 on a 6" rim, I think getting a 315 onto an 8.5" should be easy :) - AB

The tire/rim combination's you guys are talking about are just funny. What gain is there to put a tire that big on a rim that small? They would look beach balls...

I put a 315 Hoosier on 10.5" rim and it barely squares out. 11" would be more realistic. 335 I put on 12" rim and they look pretty square. No doubt would be more at home on a 13" rim.
