Wow! It must have been the windshield wipers.

Seriously, that is a great example of turning early. Great job.

I hate working the course at autox and I must tell you about it, often.

It was a good day yesterday. A bit hot but better than the alternatives for weather. The course was a lot of fun. Driving an S2K is very different. Nice balance and nimble. Just have to get used to it. There is plenty more left in the car for me to extract.

Couldn't make Saturday. Sounds like that went well too. Good job Wes and all the folks who made this happen. I know it's a lot of work and appreciate all the efforts put in. Sanford is a lot of fun and it's been proven that good courses can be made there regardless of the sealer or grit. And it's convenient for many of us.

thank you guys. I had to bail early, i was under the impression that... i had to be at work at 5 am. However, when i got there at work. I was told i dont need to be at work at 5 am. Though.. at that point it was a 30 minute drive each way.. so i worked anyway, Great event.. now it is getting rare that i am on asphalt, so my times were absurdly slow.. however, i had a good time learning my awd rocket. The cones certainly come up real quick now.. real quick.. the sentra was quick, but was traction limited, not the situation with the wrx, though launches were rather anti-climactic,(soft launch)
the food was AWESOME, i just hate that i gave our cook, (i cant spell Mr. Grey's name right) the wrong darn ticket. Perhaps next year i will remember. I even got to hang out with some cool folks i have not seen, since my problems at VIR. good fun. Even though i suck at autocross. :P

I found out last year that it's really easy to turn on the wipers on an S2000 and really hard to turn them off if you don't know how you turned them on in the first place. Great run, Keith!

Do we have the times from Saturday? I ran a lot better on Saturday, so I would REALLY like to see them posted :) [Saturday - the day I forgot and left traction control on for all 5 runs]

Congrats for Stephen and Rodney for ruining my Sunday. And wow, that 59 that Rodney put down during fun runs was something.

Oh, and congrats to Wes, Scott, the officers and everybody for a great event!

Art, I'll take a look and see if there are times from Sat. If they are there, I'll send them to the webmasters.

Would that be the run where he skipped one or two of those pesky cones, or another one? :P Yes, I actually worked course, and found it interesting how many elements seemed to become..... optional for many people.

My hat off to Wes Eargle, Scott Johnson, and David Spratte for an absolutely FANTASTIC weekend. Big thanks to Bowie for coming out and feeding us all, and special thanks to our Event Sponsors for providing the raffle items.

As for the courses - awesome. I'm not sure what it was, but my M3 really really just wanted to be steered with the Go pedal. I apologize profusely to the course workers who were working for my fun run, where I think I took down as many cones as I left standing

I'll have you know I blew the 1st fun run, twice, but I did have a clean 59 something on the second fun run and I had a passenger that can validate that. I sure would like to know where the hell that came from. There's hope for me yet!!

Uploading pictures now, but it's going to take a bit.

So in the meanwhile we have a set of his and her spins:

Hers

The album is here. And when it's done, it should have 185 photos in it.

my se-r probably was spun 5 or 6 times, during the yrs i autocrossed it. It was quite a quick car, but it would not be kind if you screwed up.. dont feel bad. i was a fish out of water, at the autocross that day.. not used to it anymore, but be sure.. the nx2k is a good car to use for it.

Is there an award for that? :) I learned a valuable lesson about heat vs. tire pressure, like I learn ALL lessons: THE HARD WAY!

edit: just took a look at all the pics. Thanks for all the NX love!

I love the NX. It's actually our third. I think it does pretty well for a 16 year old car with nothing but AGX's on it for aftermarket parts. Practice will improve me, but I think I'm starting to flirt with some decent times. The 10 runs in a row on Saturday made a bad starter situation even worse (with the heat) when the car stalled during Michelle's spin. It took a few VERY noisy attempts to get it cranked again. Then on Sunday, BOTH of the bolts that hold the accelerator cable bracket backed out and that caused a bit of concern. Strangely enough, both bolts were sitting right there on top of the intake manifold so i was able to hand tighten them and then got back to grid, after a quick wrench-run to the pits.
