My thanks as well to the event chairs, officers and all who helped make today a fine event. Like Colin, I made a hasty exit at the end of the event to go see my Tarheels win over the Sooners, so I apologize for not sticking around to help pack up.
The first third of the course was an exercise in self-discipline (especially for those of us driving "full figured" cars), the rest was pure Laurinburg flog. The perpetual lane change from left to right at the far end of the runway was a particularly interesting element. While I had nothing today for the Westerfield brothers or Mr. Wright, at least I had the satisfaction of edging out that Jim Dandy in the black Cadillac.
<EDIT> Whoops.. I didn't know that MD had a mid 82 run. I'm not sure he knew either. Well, there's another reason to stick around for the trophy ceremony, you don't say as many dumb things on the forum.
