Hello gang -

Us officer types have spent a fair amount of tonight deliberating on the status of this weekend's test and tune. We've decided it's in the best interest of the club to move the test and tune to Saturday, 3-28-09, to be run in parallel with the Novice School.

Don't worry, there's plenty of usable pavement on the site, and the two "events" running in parallel shouldn't affect either the people doing the testing, or the novices learning how to autocross for the first time. We've got a number of options for laying this out, and we think it's gonna be a great weekend of autocrossing.

People who have pre-paid for the 3-1-09 event will get their money back one way or the other. It can be folded into the 3-28-09 TnT date, applied towards another event, or refunded altogether.

Making schedule changes with such short notice isn't something we take lightly, trust me on that. If anyone has questions or concerns, you are welcome to contact me directly, at 919-454-4775.

Thanks, and we're looking forward to a big weekend of autocrossing on the 28th-29th!

--Karl

I assume someone would be able to participate in either the T&T or the novice school (instructor or student), but not both?

Bernie and I have signed up to instruct in the Novice School, but really need the T&T-new stuff to work with. Looks right now like the school may be light. Will we be able to work around doing both?

Good to know. My car is not ready for the Test-n-Tune anyway. Unfortunately now I don't get to drive Smyre's MR2 SM2 car this weekend.

Good call!

If there's one place with room for both, L-burg's certainly it.

With that being the case, anyone else going to the TSCC event this weekend? [/hijack]

I saw you were signed up for "ST" instead of "STS", I don't even know what the heck "ST" is. Not that it really matters.

Did you ever get that rear sway bar on? Maybe we could designate "ST" as the "HS car w/ street tires and rear sway bar" class. :D

To continue this hijack, Aaron Buckley has some lug nuts for me that he's going to bring to the TSCC event. Anyone near Cary/Apex going that could grab them for me?

I definitely looked at the pre-reg list and was like "why is that stupid CRX signed up for STS". Better to get owned here by Wes I suppose. . .

Does this mean I need to get new magnets made? Thats freaking lame. I guess I'll just cover up the extra "S" w/ some black tape for now.

Mike, see my post in the other thread, I'll grab the lugs for you if you want.

Good call! I wanted to come out and play but had pretty much decided that I needed more time to get the car ready..... that and the weather is gonna' suck.

Hopefully everybody gets the word... that'll be a long drive to find out it ain't happening.

Did you just ask someone to grab Aaron's nuts on your behalf?

Regarding the overall plan for that day will there be a way for me to get some TnT done and my novice co-driver for the season to still have a chance to go through the novice school?
