Looking around I've seen AS and SS mentioned on the web....
but nothing is listed in the official SCCA pdf for c63.

Any suggestions?

Nelson,

I think this car was in the group slated to go to A-Stock for 2010 if the SCCA realigns all the classes. Just did a search and found what I was thinking about: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/autocrossing-and-roadracing/2232320-c5-2010-scca-solo-classing-proposal-a-stock.html Perhaps that means it is in Super Stock class now? I would assume it would be in the same class as the E90/92 M3 currently. I'm sure someone here knows.

Chuck

Just found it listed in the 2009 SCCA rules, page 155 (pdf page 167). Super Stock: http://cms.scca.com/documents/Solo_Rules/2009_Solo_Rules.pdf

Did you get rid of the 997 or just add this one?

997 has been demoted to "beater" status.. ;o
it does get the best mpg of my three cars. The
c63 is more fun to drive, that and it's a LEASE!

A friend just bought a 2005 997S with 19k miles for ~$49k. One owner car that appears to have been a garage queen (amazingly clean everywhere) -- shows as new. Pretty amazing deals out there right now.

In that case, you might get a discount on the C63 AMG that was at the car show a couple of weeks ago; I'm pretty sure that it has a waist-high dent in the side of it. It's that hawt.

Two dents. One on its side, the other on its steering wheel.

Nelson, promise me you'll at least take me for a ride sometime. Or at least let me sit in it. Best factory seats I've ever sat in, by a huge margin.

Mmm...C63 AMG. M3? What's an M3?

Nelson, if I were you, I probably wouldn't let these guys sit in it. You would probably have to get the interior cleaned because of how excited they got!!!

On a side note, I just watched the Top Gear episode where Jeremy drives the C63 AMG Black. It tickled parts of my body that don't usually get tickled by a car!!! Count me in as a C63 MAG Fanboi!

Agreed. Another reason why I will buy a '06-'07 low mile CTS-V for the "family" car. These things are beasts. ;) - AB
