That said, can you replace the front bushings w/ poly or do I have stay w/ stock rubber mounts? I figure the endlinks must stay stock, but was curious about the bushings on the sway.

Rodney, the endlinks and the bushings can all be replaced with whatever you want. No additional holes can be drilled to facilitate mounting to the car, but the bar assembly is free. If it'll bolt into the factory mounts, it's legal.

As an example, Keith (Vail) and I both have Saner bars on our S2000s that replace the bushings with polyurethane, and the endlinks with heim joints. The bar bolts to the existing swaybar mounts on the chassis and the lower control arms.

Rodney,

Rodney... don't rush off and get a stiffer front bar just yet. Unlike the Fox and Fox4 Mustangs, body roll on the 2005+ models doesn't take away camber. You don't want to compromise turn in by making the front too stiff.

If you think the car is pushing too much now, play with front/rear tire air pressures first. Going up on rear tire pressures will make the back end a little twitchier.

If course, I finished fifth Sunday, behind a Gov't Motors product, so what do I know?

I can say I'm not going down a moneyburn path yet. I've got a lot to learn about the car before trying to do anything else. I would think 3 or more events would be necessary before I even think about touching it.

Do the non-Shelby GT's have an adjustable front swaybar stock? The Shelby's do and full stiff is where anyone on concrete would be running. - AB

Aaron, Sam Strano told me the Shelby GT is a lot twitchier than the regular GT, which may explain why folks want a stiffer front bar to compensate.

Once we get our various GTs sorted out a little, you should bum a fun run off of one of us and tell us how the GT compares to the Shelby GT you drove last year. Or better yet, bring the Shelby GT you co-drove last year to an event, and let us take fun runs in it :)

Look again. That's 0.076 thousands between 1st and 3rd.
