Maybe you could just de-modify the suspension, and try it for an event or two?

I've never driven one - stock or otherwise - in anger, but it seems like it could be pretty good. The drive wheels are on the right side of the car, it's at least got that going for it.

How much rubber can you get on stock sized (15x6?) wheels without rubbing?
