I had a fun time as well and really enjoyed the course because it was more than an "out and back" type. I liked the use of the space and found the taxiway a great use of a narrow piece of real estate. I saw my last two runs were DNF and was curious as to if anyone saw them and can tell me what I missed...

I will miss the Danville autocross, but should be back for Laurinburg.

Which tires was I locking up? Front or Rear?

Ryan or Chris, it was the driver's side rear. I noticed it working from the taxiway and seeing you guys go through the final offset before the finish.

One time was really distinct with the tire smoke.

I was working station 7, and it appeared that one of the Subaru’s (blue one I think) was spinning its inside right rear tire under power...then again, I was hungry and delirious from the heat, so keep that in mind. However, I remember thinking it was odd given that it has AWD.

Matt,

Are you missing a right fog light ring? I got a BMW fog light surround handed to me since everyone is so used to us losing them (and I forgot to tape them), but ours were both intact. It doesn't appear quite the same as the ones on the ZHP.

Thanks to the event organizers.

The course was a lot of fun. I always have trouble on the taxiway because I think the slaloms last longer than my attention span. It really was a nice design for a long narrow course. The runway was a blast. The vee was confusing to look at but fun to drive.

My last two runs were in the rain. On a dry course, I could have hit the cones much faster.

I was working the course on the taxiway during your runs. I did not see them but the calls came in when you were near the end of the runway.

Think that was the only event in 6 yrs for me without a clean run... Maybe I'm picking up where Phil left off !! Despite that, the course was an absolute BLAST, with a fantastic array of elements including a killer big wide-open sweeper (always a favorite) and a slightly curving 85 mph finish. Yes, there were a lot of cones out there, but the layout was excellent. Very nice job Mike and Rodney.

Sitting on the start line for run 4 (with no clean runs), I had to make a decision - clean run or go for it. The course was so much fun, I instantly decided for the bansai run - getting 2 cones in the process. But that didn't matter. I had a great time out there !!!

Anyone get a picture of the Dorifto Dog in flight?

I'd like to post something up on our blog - I only got stuff in the pits.

I understand that we had the same passenger for our respective off-course excursions. Coincidence?

Thanks, you don't know how big a help that has been.

Funny, I thought just the same thing! No idea if there were any more agricultural excursions after that, but if there were, it wasn't my fault (anymore) :?

Steve, autocross again. only if it means testing out the dorifto dog before it meets the crusher. Remember, it was kendt who was driving the only time it didn't DNF.

Finally have my photos uploaded.

So, it's been a while since I've shot in a rain, and now I remember another reason why the 100-400 has issues occasionally: it's a slide, not a twist zoom.

Needless to say at some point, the internal lens elements became fogged over. Even with the rain kit on it.

Anyhow, here's a preview:

I have some good stuff from this past weekend. I'll try and find time to post them this week as well.

For those that put together the Xmas party, there is some comedy gold there.
