So do we have chairs for the school & autox Aug 9 & 10? If not, I'll volunteer to chair them both - and drive the bus.

So I guess all we need now is some volunteers to be instructors.

Let me know if there's already a plan...

I'd already volunteered to be a chair, I think that between Dustin, Kevin and I, we'll have enough to get things set up.

That reminds me, I need to ax for a day off ...

Sweet. Should be fun - I guess I'll have to take the almost-full-tread tires to this one, though.

I'm thinking half day of vacation, and start setting up mid-afternoon (2 or 3pm). Good or no good? Let me know so I can let "them" know.

That works for me. Dustin?

Too bad I'm on vacation that weekend -- I've always wanted to do an intermediate school session "The Art of the Course Walk and How to Be Fast On Your First Run". Probably could do it in about 1.5 hours at the beginning of the day. Maybe next year?

Last weekend's event was a good example of why it's important to nail a course on your first or second run.

Kevin Butler and I volunteered to do it Saturday, but if Kevin and Wes want to that's fine by me. Just let me know and that's fine.

Maybe I'll do the coursewalk thing. I've wanted to spend more time on that at schools in the past, but everybody else just wants to hurry through the (one and only) coursewalk and start driving.

You want to send me your notes (in the form of a spreadsheet, right)? I have some from a long time ago, but not sure exactly where they are - but I know I could recreate most of them pretty easily.

Rob - I'd really like to do this one, so if you and Kevin B haven't spent a whole lot of time on it already... :D

Gee, I got industrious on Sunday and designed the plaques, courses, and handouts.

nah, go ahead, I'm sure there will be other opportunities.

So, is it about decided that this will be a school? I went ahead and signed up under that assumption. I'll come either way, my wife only wants to come if its a school. Since it'll be so hot, if its not a school, she'd rather save her energy for the Sunday event. I personally think that she could use the seat time either way (as could I), but the chances that I go to an event without her are pretty slim.

Ok, Kevin Allen and Wes Eargle will be chairing this event, more details to follow soon.

My hope would be that we run this as a loose intermediate school, where people can run with or without instruction. It looks as if there's a reasonable ratio of willing instructors from the poll, so I think we can pull it off. People who don't want instruction can just sign up as a student and run without an instructor.

I volunteered to instruct in the poll. I teach better than I drive.

Just "talked" with Dustin. $35 is the cost of the Saturday school for students, instructors get to the Sunday autocross for free as a thank-you. Instructors also have the opportunity to "test-and-tune" Saturday as time permits.

Carl and Mary, will be updating you as time permits to update the website accordingly.
