It is the week after our points event/intermediate school (which we still need event chairs for by the way).

The reg page does not give the option of registering/paying for one day. Do we have to pay for and sign up for both regardless?

Chuck, does this mean we need the Tire Rack windshield banner? If so, hopefully, they'll have them on site like they do at the ProSolos. All the other stickers I've got on magnetics.

Tire rack is a sponsor, so I'd guess we will need the TR banner. If so it should be available at tech, I can't see them requiring it without providing them.

Divisionals have Tire Rack and could have other sponsors, in fact. There's also a "divisional" sticker that's required, I believe. Howard gave me some samples a while back. Says "Tire Rack SCCA Divisional Championships" on it.

But yeah, any required stuff like that will be available at tech (and if it isn't available then the requirement has to be waived). I believe the normal SCCA front sticker is required, too, and is the only one that costs money ($1).

N00b that I am, I was thinking I would be able to just show up on Sunday morning and register, and that they'd let me run... Now from what I'm reading here it sounds like I won't be able to do that. :?

I never participated in any such events, so I am not sure what I need to do to be able to run. AND whether it makes sense at all for me to show up there being slow as usual

Alex, even running just Sunday will be a great experience. You will get to see how a larger event gets run. There is a larger pool of people than just our local events as well. Come out and have fun. You might even like it so much that you will begin going to National events at some point.

The question is, will they let me run if I did not pre-register (because I can't find a way to just register for Sunday)? That's my main concern :) Don't want to drive out to just spectate.

In the meantime I am pretty much used to being last in class so I'm not too concerned about having people kick my butt much anymore ;)

Try emailing Scott Sawyer and asking him. scottsawyer@northstate.net He is the event chair.

I emailed him about running sunday and he said to just sign up and put in the notes to registrar section that I was only running sunday.

On the Triad forum it says anyone can just show up and register Sun AM for just Sun. Sun is a one day points event for Triad members so there is likely to be more than a couple people doing that. Alex, you really should do at least Sun, if for no other reason than to experience a (hopefully) larger nationals style course, and for the seat time. Jeremy Cox will be there running his 99 CSP Miata that is prepared to the rules. I'm sure he would not mind you picking his brain for suggestions.

Alex, Scott Sawyer is a friend of mine. I'll give him the heads up that you're coming on Sunday.

15 drivers in AS! Can't wait.
