Just got off the phone with Dave Mckenzie of CCR -- please keep the weekend of October 25-26 open. Site plan is the Continental Tire plant near Carowinds -- they're going to move the semis and other crap away to double the space.

Just an fyi.

Wes

Details are still being worked, though, so things could change. Stay posted......

2008 NCAC Info. Looks like registration is open. Hopefully THSCC will have a good showing this year.
Come out and support your club!

I really wanna go but sadly...

1) My car will probably not be fixed by then. It's only been broken since June, you can't expect me to get it fixed that fast.

B) Rebecca probably works that weekend making childcare an issue.

III) I'm sure there is another excuse, but I can't think of it right now.

More discussion here. Looks like they are trying to fix the ladies class thing. Looks like they also plan to do the club cup in some fashion.

I just saw that and had a flashback to 2006

....and wouldn't you know it but "you know who" was first on the scene to complain.

Who has the cup? (actually, I may have it, I need to check tonight)

It was at L'burg last Sunday, so my guess is Stephen has it.

Reading the CCR forum sends shivers down my spine and makes the hairs stand up on my arms. It's deja vu all over again. Just glad it's their turn!

By the way-side bar- I just google mapped this coming weekend's 2 day event in SC. Black Lake. Is it as large as it looks? I wonder (just a question-nothing more) was that place the one that was just too far away from NC for NCAC? Again, just curious.

Truer words have never been spoken.

I looked at my calender, and I have to wash my hair that weekend.

LOL, I was thinking the same thing. Of course, someone from CCR is already chiming in about "ringer" drivers. I remember a club offering free membership to ringer drivers.

Maybe I'll try and make it to the event. I think it would be a fine weekend for Aaron's bachelor party!

I'm not there. I'm pretty sure I'm in Vegas that weekend. I wonder if there's a driving school out there.

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

Geeze...talk about doom and gloom. Does it say somewhere in the title..."Who can't make it to the NCAC this year?". Every year I have folks tell me they aren't going to NCAC as if they are trying to make a statement to everyone. I hate to tell them, but no one really notices who's not there. If you have obligations and can't make it, no biggie. For those that want to pick the event apart before it even happens....lighten up. Remember, THSCC gets the ball back in 2010, so do what you can to keep the vibes positive when other clubs are hosting it.

For those interested in more seat time and having fun, here's another event for you. If you know anyone on the fence, try and talk them into making the trip. THSCC will need all the help we can get to bring home the Club Cup again. Who can make it to support THSCC this year? Judi and I should be there.

I was serious when I said that I want to be there. I love running with other clubs to see how they do things. I just know that there is absolutely no way that I'll have the car ready to go by then. It's been down since June, I don't see that changing any time soon, unfortunately.
