Wow, I may be out of touch with what you kids call things these days but I *really* don't want to know what that means.

Anyway, I've got $25 to the foundation that says a certain anonymous duo driving the "Honda VTaK FTD Monster" can't beat another certain duo driving another Honda VTaK product (OK, Acura, but close enough) powering the proper (front) wheels on average PAX finishing position.

In other words, take the average PAX position for each car and the car with the highest numerical position donates a 25-spot to the foundation. That should be easy enough considering the anonymous duo will be on fresh Ho Ho's and the real race car will be on, well, who knows what junk???

I haven't cleared this with the co-driver but I've heard rumors he is a gambling man...

Jim

Jim, what if one of us (me) isn't smart enough to comprehend the whole bet? I totally don't follow.

And I don't get the milkshake thing either. I even watched the Youtube video, and still...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WIeFDv0I ... re=related ? Wasn't this from the reject bin at Monty Python?

I'll bet $10 that Karl never really understands his bet with Feinberg.

Karl, just bring your checkbook and we'll tell you the amount to write.

Considering David and I will be experimenting with the car all weekend, don't underestimate our ability to shoot ourselves in the feet!

In fact, given that I'll be working on the car a bit this week, I'd put the forecast of injured feet at 50/50 minimum.

For those that thought that last year's course was a little tight, this one ... isn't. As in deep second gear with a tire trailer still attached to the car.

Thanks to Spratte and Scott for helping set up today. For those that miss opportunities to help on setup day, you also missed Scott ghostriding the bus as we were kicking cones out of the trailer. Funniest. Thing. Ever.

Imagine Scott trying his bestest to breakdance while jogging beside a pilotless bus. Fire might have been better.

I'm down. 8) $25.00

This will sadly be my last event in the R... Preregistration says otherwise but you can't change the car/class after Thursday. (it's a long story, my car was at the body shop but I got it early, cough, cough: on time)

I think/hope Dave Frankel can co-drive with me for the first time on 'slicks' so it's a go. If Dave can't make it for any reason, anyone else is welcomed that can handle the RRRRRVtac!!!

May I recomend that we find an 'official accounting firm of the THSCC' as a sponsor? T&S is a fine outstanding group of people, but with this kind of money being thrown about, we don't want any problems.

I'm no accountant, but I could stay in a Holiday Inn Express before the event.

I only know of Chris and Carl paying up at the event; if you didn't pay a bet that you lost, please either bring a check to next Wednesday's meeting made out to "V Foundation for Cancer Research" or mail it directly to them. Please shoot me a PM telling me the amount of your donation so that I can add it to what we already raised.

The V Foundation for Cancer Research
ATTN: John Leshney -- THSCC Autocross
106 Towerview Court
Cary, North Carolina 27513

Be sure to put THSCC in the memo portion of your check as well.

We'll keep this on the honor system as well; you know if you made a bet, please follow up!

I think I owe $10 via the Marcus bet. I wasn't expecting them to want separate checks for everything, and only had one on me. Thought I had two. Will bring to the meeting...
