Shawn said, "if you've been autocrossing for a while and the car is not doing what you want, don't blame yourself, start looking at the car to see if something is wrong." It really is good advice and a way to find problems much quicker...unfortunately, I just always seem to assume that I'm doing something wrong in the car.

Eric, in your case that's actually a pretty good assumuption.

Back on topic. Another great event :D I thought the course was well designed. It really required a lot of looking/thinking ahead and punished you if you got behind. And another big thanks to Dustin for fixing the display, it looked like it worked great all day.

Thanks,

Shawn

It was definitely an awesome event. Very challenging layout, and very fun to drive. The course caught me not thinking for a moment, and I crossed over at the wrong section one of my runs.

Major kudos to everyone who ran the event. I think everyone had a great time.

Thanks again, Chuck. Now I'm really in big trouble. I only know less than 1% of what I need to know and now my teacher is black listing me! Besides, I thought this was a sport where you're always a student!

Always, always!

Man I hadn't even thought about how long Chuck and I had been out of the car. Six months came and went quickly. So many changes in such a short period of time!

I am so happy to be back out there with you again Chuck! :kisses:

I personally enjoy the Chick's Schools. I learn so much on every single run; new ways of looking at autocrossing, new methods. And every THSCC autocross makes me keep pushing myself. What a fantastic group of AS drivers we have this year.

Congrats again Todd!

Thanks Jim for the drive! I had a blast!

It was my first time autocrossing anything with that much power and with race tires. Too bad I coned away my fastest run  . Otherwise, the last three times in DS would have been within 1 tenth :o !

It's really hard to grasp the limit of the car with race tires. I wish I had more time in the car to adjust to it. I've never driven a stock car that was as loose also, hence the spin on my first run. I'm pretty sure I took all the slaloms and some of the sweepers way too slow. I love WOT in that car though, it's so fast (compared to anything I've driven)! Go VTAK! I still can't think fast enough driving cars that are so fast compared to my walk-in-the-park Fit.

Thanks again, Jim! (btw do I have to pay for any tires?)

:D I was briefly chatting with somebody (Mr. Whipple perhaps?) after the event and I was telling him I told you before your first run that you shouldn't have any problems with the car since it was *way* tighter than the CRX ever was. It didn't occour to me until afterwards that you hadn't driven the CRX in awhile and I should have told you it is *way* looser than the Fit currently is. Oops.

It feels slow to me but I think I'm old and jaded. Mostly old probably... :?

You won't even notice it with a little more experience.

Nah, they are still still round so no charge. :)

Glad to hear that everyone had such a great time. We were worried that we would get alot of complaints with the two doubles and that the course forced you to look ahead. I had a ton of fun and don't think I have completly recoved from all the fun and the number of runs I took between the Chicks school and the 5 we got on Sunday.
I am still waiting for the final results for the Ladies (Todd!)

Can't wait till the Jimmy V!

Sorry about that!!!

I've been in Chicago for training all week and haven't had a chance to get the results corrected. I promise I will get to them by this weekend.

But that is dependent on Poem actually coming through with her suitcase full of Euros!!!

BTW - I had a blast Sunday. The course was alot of fun and it was nice not having a short slalom, pin, slalom on the taxiway. I hate pins!!!

Thanks to the T&S workers again for being the Best Damn Timing and Scoring Team in Motorsports!!!!!

At the moment Poem is an unemployed Masters student  So the probability of a suitcase of Euros is very slim indeed. Unless you know someone looking to hire a mad scientist; then perhaps we could discuss a payment plan......
