I want to echo Chuck Frank's sentiment about this. It will really be a shame if NCAC dies after - how many years has it been? - 15 years? of very unique and fun statewide competition.
I have always welcomed and enjoyed our participation in th NCAC and it would be too bad if we pull out of it just because no one is willing to help out. I haven't seen any of these "ego trips" or "opposition" around here in the last few years that Kevin and Diane are talking about (thank goodness), so don't let that scare you away from helping out.
I would ask, though, that if someone is interested in volunteering, let us (THSCC senior officers) know first. Our club would be looking for an NCAC representative in addition to whomever volunteers to run the show. Neither job is hard work, sounds like it would be just the normal coordination chores that inevitably face a volunteer organization.
I say

to whomever step up to keep the NCAC alive.[/quote]
