It could veRy well be something else, though. It Really depends on which way the wind is blowing. Next year could be a gReat year to be a piRate but I haven't decided yet. It might depend on what kind of booty Hanukkah HaRRy brings me.

More comes down from the mountain:

I suppose I could also point out that at this year's Nationals, the top ten G Stock cars were scored under 95 seconds. There were only five D Stock cars able to do that. Heck, even the tenth place G Stock car (non-Mini) was only beaten by four D Stock cars. These classes ran the same courses, on the same days, one heat apart. The next fastest Integra R behind the winner (3rd in class) got beat by six Mini's.

The just released 2008 factors are based on the Mini S not moving to D Stock, I don't think, or know for sure if, the SEB is going to move it. Most everything I can see shows that the Mini S is generally faster than the vast majority of front running D Stock cars.

There also haven't been a ton of the new 2007 Mini's out there, yet. That car is clearly faster than the previous versions. Ask anyone who's driven both.

H's & K's,
Rick Ruth

The thread for anybody that wants to read for themselves.

Oh gee thanks! I was thinking of trying the Celica in 08 for fun. Maybe I'll just run TIR class...

I was kidding Graham. I haven't even decided on a car yet and I'll be in 'X' anyway. Besides, you'll have to contend with Spratte if you decide to run TIR. :)

Jim

Maybe you should get, dare I say it.... a Mini. Settle this Top Gun thing with David once and for all. Honestly it doesn't matter to me. The Celica idea is just for cheap entertainment. Since I really don't AX much anymore I'm going to see if I can run NOV next year.

Oh, Graham, please come to HS. Either I'll have good competition........... or you'll get beat by a girl! :woo:

You won't have good competition. I can barely get a RWD car around an AX course. Converting to FWD is going to be painful. FWD SUX. I feel bad for anyone working the course...

As for getting beaten by a girl. BTDT. Every year since joining the club. You girls aren't very nice! Sure you're polite in the pit area... while sharpening your nails...

This whole Ladies class is nothing but a scam and a conspiracy. Far surpassing the recent SCCA vs Mazda vs GM horror show. If I was President of the SCAA and/or THSCC there would be no more LADies class... and we would have a bus awning powered by a generator

Hmm. . . I know a couple people who wouldn't agree with that. Unless you're talking about drag racing. :)

Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.
