just to balance out all the negative posts, I'll be there if the event is still on.

Weather forecasts are crap. For the triad "trialcross event" it was forecast 90% chance of rain. We didn't see a drop.

Accuweather is showing the rain ending by about 5am but then mostly cloudy until about noon, temps 40F, winds 22mph with gusts to 35mph. Looks like mid-40's with wind like that all day is what is expected.

Weatherunderground is definite rain through 7am and then light rain through 4pm, similar wind scenario.

It looks like the winter weather line is just north of Danville....for now.

After the perfect weather this week, this is at best what we're left with for an autocross.

(yep, if this weather comes to pass, I'm bailing too).

Check please! I'm out of here.

Weather, Xmas stuff and work says I'm better off staying home.

Well, unfortunately I think we are going to cancel the event. This was suppose to be a fun event and it's looking like the weather would prevent much fun from taking place. If you know anyone that was planning on coming to the event and didn't register, please pass the word.

Admit it. You guys are just afraid that a M+S tire equipped Mustang would take FTD. Weenies!

I have 4 studded snowtires that I think will fit Dick's FF. I remember it snowed on us at a a South Hills mall event way back

I remember back in, '96 maybe, going to a Triad event in November at GTCC and it was snowing like the dickens for about half an hour. It was quite the sight, and the snow was starting to even stick on the pavement, but not on the course. I remember the announcer saying at one point, "snow tires will now be permitted!" :P

Good headwork, Stephen. We did not make a mistake by canceling the FUN event. Currently 37 degrees and still raining in Danville. It would have been anything but fun today!

Cold and rainy in the AM and stupid windy in the PM. I just spend the day driving to VA Beach and back. It wasn't that much fun.
