Dang, I forgot about that thing. My car choice for next year just got harder. Now I have to find something capable of cherry picking PAX *and* RAW. Hmmmm.....

I guess you must be referring to the Petersons than? No problem, Eric's a chump he doesn't stand a chance with a crappy Subaru. I ain't skeered. ;-)

Of course I know the real reason he is coming out is that he has his eye on the coveted Mike Dishman Cup currently sitting in my dining room.

Eric and I are, um, in negotiations. I'm hoping that he'll make a return appearance in the S2000 - even if I get destroyed by him in my own car (again), we always have a good time and I learn a lot.

So I'm now trying to think of how we can make this a little more equitable. Assuming **equal drivers**, I don't think it's fair to have to make someone like Spratte, in a GS Mini, compete against AS and SS cars on raw time. But nevertheless, I'd sure love to put something together that gets the club hotshoes going at it for the season finale.

Ideas? Maybe make the bet (or a separate bet) FTS on PAX? At this rate I'm gonna be broke by the end of next weekend...

Not that I consider myself a club hotshoe BTW, but I've learned the most this year by getting creamed, so why stop now, right?

Although I should drive Kendt's car for the event, is it possible to get a co-drive Les? All of these A Stockers need to learn that SS should and will be fastest. ;) - AB

Dishman is lined up to co-drive and I'm not going to subject the poor car to three drivers. If he backs out sure, otherwise we'll have to wait until next year to see what the car is capable of I guess.

You are certainly good enough to show that, it's just going to take putting it all together on a single run... and maybe getting rid of the "self centering wheel" thing when you let go after a tight turn around :)

Glad to hear Dishman will be in the car. - AB

Alright, so the only vote I've gotten was from Les after running into him and Jason at lunch yesterday. Let's stick to the original plan of FTS raw takes the $10/head pool, winner take all.

So far I think we've got...

- Me
- Les (and hopefully Dishman by association)
- Hopefully Eric and Chris and whatever other shoe is in Donnie's STI
- Keith Q, are you in?

That's potentially $60 bucks to the winner. Gambling FTW!

Well, even if I only get a handful of takers for my "winner take all" FTS pool, we've got a truckload of people in AS cars between Novice, X, regular AS and Street Tire classes...

- Rick Butters (2002 S2000)
- Keith Quistorff (2004 STi)
- Chris Peterson (2005 STi)
- Eric Peterson? (2004 S2000? 2005 STi?)
- Karl Shultz (2004 S2000)
- Joe Magyar (2003 S2000)
- Roberto Crescencio (2003 M3, street tire)
- Brooks Scull (2000 S2000, street tire)
- John Gill (2006 STi, street tire)
- Scott Chastain (2001 S2000)
- James Comito (2004 M3, novice)
- Mitch Moore (1999 Boxster)

That's 12 altogether, with 8 in open. I hate to say it (okay, I don't hate to say it) but Les and Aaron, you guys have targets painted on your backsides. And Les, you can tell Dishman that I'm happy to take his money too

It sucks that I am now going to miss the event. I was looking forward to one last event in Sanford this year and trying to make a run for the money (not that it would have happened but it would have been a fun competition). I will be on my way home from DC while the event is running so everyone have fun. Hopefully next year I will be in the same class as you but only time will tell. :D

If I was driving a car that I think could get it done, sure, I'd be in. I think Kendt's car is probably setup well, but to take top raw, well, that's just fiscally irresponsible.

Now, with an AS/SS ride on r-compounds, I would be all over it. ;) - AB

That would be very cool Keith. What are you thinking about getting? I have to say, I think you and Aaron both have proven that the Crossfire is a great DS car (and they happen to be pretty cool looking too) - I'd have a hard time getting out of that position if it were me. But, there's a lot of good AS options available anymore, too...maybe you could be the first to try an NSX?

And Aaron, this is all your fault BTW. If you hadn't litten a fire under my arse at Danville, no way would I even be considering such financial irresponsibility...

Probably shouldn't. I can't even beat a CS car raw.

I'm not sure what I'm driving.
Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

The biggest thing that turns me off with the Crossfire is one thing the tires cost $1200 per set just like yours but for a DS car and I can't run tire contingency at big events ( I know Aaron and Bryan will be feeling this pain as well) unless we want our Hoosiers to cord on the front every 20 runs. The rears last until they are well past heat cycled. I think the NSX is just too damn expensive still for me to take a chance on it, I would probably stay in the Honda family though if I went to AS.
