Jim,

Do you have the junky motor in there or did you get a pimpy Red Shift motor?

I'm pimping the Red Shift motor with a Red Shift chip in the ECU. I desperately need to install my new header and get a custom dyno tune, though. Chris from Red Shift thinks I'm giving up nearly 10hp with my current combination.

Neither of us could tell a difference in motors. His is a fairly fresh rebuild that he did himself but he was still running the stock ECU. When I drove his car, I was hitting the rev-limiter much earlier than my car which wasn't helping the clock. I got within a few tenths of my fast time but I never got the slaloms right which was worth a ton of time.

The biggest difference between our cars is the shocks. He is running the "race-valved" shortened Konis while I'm still running the OTS mismatched full length set which now have over 50k miles on them. The rears were used when I got them and the left rear has been weeping this entire time. I really have no idea how many miles are on those. The difference in responsiveness was astonishing.

The other big difference is that his brakes actually work.

Jim

Todd is an excellent driver. He ran our car for a fun run at the DF Triad event and was within a second.
I was the guinea pig for testing the settings on the new shocks we just installed. Making adjustments on each run got the car from extremely loose to nearly managable by Donna's last runs. It also changed the turn in characteristics enough that Donna couldn't stay off the cones. G H drove the car in a couple fun runs and suggested even more adjustment, so that's where we will be starting next weekend.
Getting it balanced now tho may be all for naught, I expect to be ordering our ZOK suspension parts next week.

Yup. Just haven't had a chance to edit. Have some from Danville and L'burg. I'll post up here when I do.

Maybe an ITR in DS.

Have you seen enough of them to determine whether they're spectacular, or just decent?
