CMP track weekend with THSCC. 08/04 & 05. green group is light on attendance.

lol, yeah, she ran VIR full this spring, but track driving and 10.1/10ths autocross are a LOT different. I thought hard about the CMP event, but I guess I'm just too old to put up with the 95F humid summer events anymore.

old is relative Chuck. come on by the trailer, we usually have a fairly comfortable set-up rolling. besides, not sure you would be the oldest duffer in attendance. 8)

You're not old unless you say you are.... I'm not :D Invest in a trailer, its a lot easier to change tires etc. when it's not hot, and at your leisure.

For those who were interested in a weekday event -- Art is planning a "NCAC Warmup/Seattime day" on Saturday August 17th in Danville.

How about a limited entry dial-in Test and Tune on Friday? Sounds like Rob H will is interested in helping set it up too.

With the 125' main runway we can do a decent timed skidpad, which is one big advantage over Sanford.

Can anyone think of any big reasons not to do this? Of course we need to check availability and confirm details with the officers. If this works for most everyone, I'll get the ball rolling.

Probably would put a cap at 30 drivers and have to charge $50 or so. Probably set up the morning of the event and run from like 11-4. Need to think that through.

I know you guys were going to try an do this on a weekday but we rent Danville by the WEEKEND not the day. So Sunday is already available.

Not trying to change your plans but just bringing up a point.

I won't be able to make that date nor the weekend event either. I initially was thinking of the time period Jul 30th through August 10th would be the best target for a weekday event -- sometime in those two weeks.
