This works like a normal event. You will use the pax of the class you run in. If you are in BSP, but you are on Street tires you still use the BSP pax.

Which also means that if you usually run in tire class (we still have tire class, right?) and you're not using a HS, GS, or DS PAX, you might be better off running with an ST* PAX assuming you are legal for it. That also means you would be booted out of tire class for the event since you can't run there with an ST* PAX.

Edit: Damnit Buckley! That 's the 4th time you've done that to me in the last 3 days! :D

But, if the BSP car has mods legal for STU and it's on street tires, then you should be able to use the STU pax.

I think what Michael is trying to avoid is getting an ST* pax in a Tire class that already assumes everyone is on street tires... in this case, it shouldn't make a difference. - AB

Not trying to complicate this... You get the pax of the class you are running in.

If you run BSP class for the event, that's your pax.
If you run STU, that's your pax.

That make sense?

If I can remember how to drive, I'll be there with the "cheater PAX" Mini. If anyone's looking for another white male driving a FWD car, that is.

Wow, where did this thread come from? Starting to feel like Todd and watching all the big kids get picked :word:

I'm going to place myself as a free agent as well if anyone can use a ST/RWD/street tire car. Looks like some loaded teams are forming! This should turn out to be an interesting autox!

...and this is just a suggestion. Why not place everybodys name into a division hat (AWD/FWD/RWD and so on) and pick teams that way. Might make it more interesting...

later

No need to change this round - but this would be cool to keep going.

Maybe use Rodney's idea, and include a Novice in each team so new people get some extra encouragement.

I will say that although creating teams ourselves are fun, it might be better to do what Rodney suggested. Then you can limit it to AWD, RWD, FWD 3 person teams and let luck determine a bit of the fate. - AB

Or another possibility for the divisions....make up driver and class requirements.

These cars must be represented:
1 Stock Class
1 ST Class
1 SP Class
1 Other

These drivers must be represented:
1 Novice
1 Female
2 Others
No more than 1 X class driver per team.

That's what we did some time ago, at the last RBC event, i think.
Me and F. Catena did the draw form a hat to make the team.
I'm sure some remember that event.

I don't agree with this requirement. If the names are drawn that way, so be it. My issue is that there are plenty of good drivers in the club that could compete and do well in X class that choose not to for various reasons.
