Yea, I usually just walk up to the tech person and tell them I have an annual tech sticker. They will give you the tech sheet that you bring over to registration and you only have to deal with one line. I've forgotten to get the tech sheet on occasion and as long as you are preregistered, the registration people are usually cool about that as well.

Can't do it. It's not in the tire budget :(

I will be there as well. I threw my tire bill out the window as I need more seat time in the car to get faster.

Well, as long as Jeb can get me some V710s and get them mounted by Friday, I intend to be there.

BTW, I'm calling this my tenth anniversary event. Technically this is a few weeks off I think, but it was spring 1997 in Danville where I attended my first autocross so close enough.

Danville isn't hard on tires.

Yeah, they really weren't such a bargain. ~40 runs before seeing cord on the outside edge. From my previous experience I'd expect at least twice as much out of a V710. Half the price for half the life ain't so great a deal when you factor in the $100 to mount the dang things. Plus, I'm betting the new V710s will be significantly faster than 05 Hoosier's that sat on a shelf for two years before I bought them. We shall see...

Ok I was afraid of that. This is mounted and run until cord correct? You never had them remounted/flipped to even the wear? I know it's another $100 for mount/balance. I hoped you would get about 60 or so runs out of them. My main approach for them was going to be for track in the fall to run some hard fast laps then flip them and use them for AX. $480 for the set with no shipping charge is not half the V710. Unless you got some sweet deal. Same size V710 are about $1200 + $60 or so shipping.... I looked at running them.

I would reccomend you flip them after 30 runs, you could probably get 60 runs out of them then as the inside edge and middle of the tire look great. V710s from tire rack in my sizes were $1000 until the morning I decided to order them, overnight the price went up miraculously $50. So yeah, the Hoosiers were less than half, 46% of the price until this Monday.

Just wondering who will be at Danville on Sunday besides myself, Charlie and Mo, and Jim F? They usually have a pretty interesting course set up there and are never really crowded. Also usually 6 runs.

Thanks for posting this. I use to run all their events before I started doing track and Rallycross. I'll see you there.

Heck. I may have to do this event after all. Another throwdown in AS...

I just hope that the course is cone intensive. :D Last weekend was my best finish ever pax or raw, since quite a few of the best drivers coned away their best run.

See you there.

Donna's finger has healed enough for her to drive again so we will definitely be there! We need the seat time before heading to Huntsville tour.
