Thanks for letting me know. I'm having my SFCs equipped with internal neon lighting :)

to the BOD by the SEB, and is published here again for member reference:
Insert new section 15.2.E after 15.2.D and re-label subsequent sections of 15.2 accordingly:
“E Longitudinal (fore-aft) subframe connectors (“SFCs”) are permitted with the following restrictions:
1. They must only connect previously unconnected boxed frame rails on unibody vehicles.
2. Each SFC must attach at no more than three points on the unibody (e.g. front, rear, and one point in between such
as a seat mount brace or rocker box brace).
3. SFCs must be bolted or welded, but welding must be to the OE subframe stampings, not to the floorpan in between.
4. No cutting of OE subframes or floorpan stampings is permitted. Drilling is permitted for mounting bolts only.
5. No cross-car/lateral/triangulated connections directly between the driver’s side and passenger’s side SFCs are permitted.
Connections to OE components such as tunnel braces or closure panels via bolts are allowed and count as the
third point of attachment. No alteration to the OE components is permitted.
SCCA Fastrack News July 2007 Page 20
6. SFCs may not be used to attach other components (including but not limited to torque arm front mounts or driveshaft
loops) and may serve no other purpose.”

Wes,

Wow, that removes all doubt, there must be a place called Hell, because it just froze over.

I'm not sure I can handle this. After 15 years, I've grown accustomed to turning the wheel and then counting "one-one thousand, two..." while the chassis warps itself in the the corner.

Thanks for alerting me.

FWIW, the subframe connectors don't do anything for a 3rd/4th gen F-body except give a decent jack point so you can change both tyres on one side at once.

That said, the stock single jacking point sucks so much it might just be worth going ESP for that alone. That's certainly why the F-body folks have been petitioning for SFCs.

I'm surprised they're going to allow it to be welded in. I was expecting bolt only.

I've heard that bolt-in subframes aren't all that helpful. Besides, I can only recall one THSCC member burning out the interior of his Mustang while welding things to the chassis, so why wouldn't you want to weld them in?

Rules #3 and #4 will frustrate those who really want to make their own connectors and really integrate them into the unit body. Not that I'm one of those people. However, I do wonder how much ground clearance I'll lose with hang-under-the-chassis subframe connectors? That's really important to me since my car already drags an exhaust hanger occasionally in the entrance to the local Krispy Kreme store.

Is it worth a call to Griggs and/or MM?

It certainly won't be hard to find a set of subframes. I keep wondering (as some of you guys seem to as well) when I'll finally put the car out pasture. One day the motor will croak, and I probably won't rebuild it with stock heads, and I don't want to make mods needed for CP. I'll assess the situation at the end of the year.

I'd like to thank Scott or Rich or Wes or whoever it was who told me yesterday that my 2007 Mustang GT is now obsolete, since the SP-in-all-but-classification Shelby GTs are legal for FS.

Those Shelby GTs were wicked fast up at DC. I think every Mustang in FS was a Shelby with the exception of Jason Huepenbecke's car and it is on it's way to being a clone.

I'm glad to see a car come in and revive FS. It wasn't too many years ago that they talked about getting rid of FS and replacing it with a "rally car" class. I can't wait to see what a fully developed FS Shelby GT can do.
