Excellent, excellent event. Great site, great course, smooth running, lots of fun to watch as well as to drive.

It will be memorable for me also as the autocross at which I felt had the least traction EVAR!!111!!!(*). Of course, that made for its own style of fun. The 360-treadwear all-seasons for some reason had more trouble on this site than anywear, and with the car set up for rcomps it is quite a dance to get it to move the right way. I swear that on the diagonal slalom the front never actually turned, just slid bodily from side to side. I have a vague memory of one slightly-too-fast attempt at the sweeper, trying to balance the car with left-foot braking, with a front wheel locked and the rear powering into snap oversteer...

Wonderful event. Thanks all!

(*) That included the time in '85(?) when I autocrossed a '69 Falcon at the NC Fairgrounds on snow tyres. That was fun too. 302v8 + 4-wheel drums + snow tyres + short stop box.

The only negative was everybody didn't get Mike's very funny dash plaque. I'm sure all of you want a dash plaque of a Camaro hitting cones!

I would love to get two of these if the printer does a re-print of the correct artwork, but I probably won't be able to make the meeting. Can I pay postge to get two mailed out to us? (One for Chuck, one for me)

I have an idea for next year so we don't have a turnaround. I don't like them and don't do them well. But, I don't need to go to 1st gear like a Porsche does!

NOW we know how to slow Patrice down!!!!!

You will need to put many of them to really affect me and if you do that you will probably get a lot of grief from everybody because they will not like it.
You just need to go faster  or you need to have the right car :)

Patrice

True.

Excellent Course Guys. Thanks to everyone who put on a great event.

The turn-around was a little slow on exit for us non-synchro(read poor) 1st gear guys. After starting with a DNF on the first run, at the first gate I was a little bummed, but things picked up and I got some decent runs in. Until the last one where I spun+stalled coming out of the lane changes. All in all a great course especially from a beginners perspective.

Thanks again.

No syncros in my Hewland gear box . . . of course it is designed to shift without syncros.

Yes it is and boy did I miss that this weekend

Excellent course Walter! I wasn't expecting much going to G'ville but that was a fun course and fit into the site very well. The event ran very smooth and getting 5 runs proves it all just flowed together and the 30 or so second overlap did not prove to be a problem at all.
