So for those that we're at the meeting, we're most likely going to tell SNMP that we're not interested as the barriers & the buildings might be just a little too close for comfort. Also, I swung by Dolly's Theatre (well, technically it's Roanoke Rapids' now) and if it weren't for the lightpoles, there'd be potential but this is a bust.

Really? I'm pretty sure we've worked with worse. This doesn't look that much worse than the Greensboro Colloseum or RBC, does it? I'd hate to stunt a relationship with a site that would otherwise let "us" come play, especially in this day of limited site availability.

Yeah, that one looks pretty manageable to me, but we'll take a closer look when we are up there later this year. We've got better leads to investigate for now :)

Compared to what NCR used to run in Wilmington 8 years ago Dolly's place isnt bad looking at all.

It's great to hear the feedback and I'll see if I have any other photos of the lot and post them if I do. Wish us luck tomorrow as we have a 3:30 meeting at a potential in Fayetteville that Brice arranged.

No doubt...fingers crossed!

It would be so good to have a coliseum lot. Proximity could bring some of Ft Bragg's finest as well, for better turnout. Maybe evening a night event could be possible.

Fine tune that roadshow, guys!

Our visit at crown today was very good, there are actually two lots that could support an event, and they are open to the idea. They are open for the Jimmy V as well. With severe thunderstorms and 5 o'clock traffic, it only took me 1:25 to get back to my house in Cary. I will do everything I can to have them booked as soon as possible. Stay tuned. I will post some videos and pictures tomorrow. I could even envision a scenario where we set up two courses for a big event there if we co hosted with another club. THANK YOU JASON MAULDIN FOR THE AWESOME LEAD.

That's awesome news!!! I think one of the lots there has some pretty interesting elevation changes, if I'm remembering it right.

I'm really happy about how the meeting yesterday went at Crown Coliseum and there are really two autocross sites there with the north lot and the east lot.

This is looking like a really strong possibility for Jimmy V which is a great thing and we should have something determined by next week at the latest. What's helping our cause is that the site/booking manager is a biker and told us that they've actually done a superbike stunt show there, so they're comfortable with our club and were happy to see some old in-car Greenville video that we sent them (thx Chris S.!) to understand the sport.

I've got a few videos and photos too and I'll try to post them tonight hopefully. The lots are great and the lightpole spacing is not too much of an issue and I'd say that they're more spaced out than even Zmax's.

Ha Ha, I remember an event in the postage stamp size movie theater parking lot across from UNCW. They used every inch of pavement there with grid an pits behind and on the side of the building. Seems like the community college lot had a bunch of light poles as well.

Crown sounds like a great site. Could we run mirror image courses there, or would terrain prohibit this?
