Rick and I will continue the Novice mentoring program this year and would like to know who can help out this weekend.

During the morning you will ride with a novice and help them learn. If you wish, you can let them ride with you.

Post here if you are available to be a mentor this weekend.

Thank you Chuck for stepping up to help out the new novices. We could really use another 6-10 volunteers willing to help a brand new novice get off on the right foot. Whose willing?

What sort of input are we expected to provide? I'm perfectly willing to help - I'm just not 100% sure I remember some of this stuff...it's been a while.

Helpful inputs fall into two categories: driving suggestions and event organization information. Driving suggestions can be anything from helping through the course the first time to specific suggestions on what they can do to improve. Event organization information might be helping them better understand how our events runs (run groups, grid, etc). The overall purpose is to just make the newcomers a little more comfortable at their first event(s), in hopes that they enjoy it enough to become regulars.
