You're fooked honestly. You might start looking for someone who has a used set.

I bought my Falkens from Discount Tire Direct, had them sent to Vilven Tire for shaving and then sent to me. If you were buying Kumhos, TireRack could do it.

I may be able to help you out Adam if you don't have any other options. I have a new shaved un-mounted set that I bought right before Nationals last year. I needed them in a hurry as well (or so I thought at the time) so they weren't exactly cheap. They have been stored inside in plastic bags since I got them. I don’t know what size you are looking for but if you need the 205/50’s, I'd let you have them for what I paid for them. Otherwise, I'll just use them in a couple months when my current set is dead.

I recently heard there is a place in Greensboro named Hall Tire that will shave tires. I have no idea if they can do them on short notice but you might be able to get a set overnighted to them and shaved/mounted Monday or Tuesday. If you have trouble locating them, I'll see if I can dig up the contact information.

Looking forward to big class we have down there,

Jim

Well - I went ahead and ordered some unshaven tires from Jeb at Discount Tire. They should be in on Tuesday. I guess I can run the full tread tires at the tour.

James -- if these tires don't make it to me in time, I will definately buy your tires you have bagged up! 205/50/15 - right?

thanks!

I ran full tread the first 2 years I had the car but that was with the 215's. I do know there will be quite a few people on full tread 615's at the tour and with our light cars, I don't think it hurts all that much.

Yea, 15's. They really aren't for sale but if you need them in a pinch, you're welcome to them. I'm leaving sometime Wednesday afternoon so they will be available up until that time.

If you need tires shaved quickly Hall Tire in Greensboro will do it. I dropped my set of tires off at about 1 pm on Monday and they were done by noon on Tuesday. They didn't take as much rubber off as I wanted but it is just a touch over 5/32nds so better then 8/32nds. Oh and they only charge $10 per tire.
