I'd sooner bet it is a Solstice GXP or Sky Red Line.

That would have been my guess. Best of luck in your new car. It will be interesting to see how they work out in AS next season.

The test drive was quite impressive! First GXP we actually got to drive (not ours, it's on order, but one that had just arrived that AM) Turbo comes on almost immediately and just keeps pulling. Torque curve is flat 260 ft# from 2500 -5300. :D Even the OEM tires look HUGE compared to the Miata. The engineering design goal was to outhandle the Miata and out accellerate the Boxster and S2K according to the head suspension designer. Should be a lot of fun to drive if nothing else.

Chuck & Donna, congrats on the new purchase! The GXP is definitely one of the best performance buys for the buck going today. I'm sure it will be an excellent car in A Stock. Are you guys planning on towing or having a hitch installed? While the car is very cool, it may very well have even less cargo space than my old Spyder, hence the reason I asked about towing.

Eric

We are planning on towing as soon as we have the 56 Panel back on the road and buy a trailer, hopefully by early spring since I finally have a garage to work in. You are right on the cargo space, with the top down there is 2 cu ft! With the top up there is ~ 1/2 the space of the 99 Miata. Doesn't come with a spare tire, just a can of fix a flat and an air pump. They do make a trailer hitch for the base, don't know if it will fit the GXP.

Just received word that our GXP is scheduled for production next week, and should be in our hands before the end of the month!
As I had expected, being sponsored by Rick Hendricks greases the tracks, some people have been waiting as long as 6 months for their order to even get a build date.
