Speaking of coning away FTD, if we're going to play shoulda-woulda-coulda :)

Les Davis: 65.467+1
Mike Whitney: 65.300+2

Can't wait for you to run the ZO6 next year. It will be fun trying to keep up with you!

Other than the initial "this is pretty tight" I found it to be loads of fun :D As for the comment on the reversed course, I didn't get to run or ride it, but from the looks and sounds of the ones who ran it backward, I'm in agreeance that we need to run that exact course in reverse next time.

Great day, despite the wet start. Thanks to Chris Brown for the codrive. I believe his generosity let me bump up a spot in season points.

Thanks to everybody that went down Saturday to prepare. Your efforts made the difference for yesterday to be a great quality event vs a washout.

Loved the course layout. It flowed very well and was a lot quicker than you thought when walking it. :woo:

Yeah, but your 65 run was obviously just a fluke. I had that one, this one 65.501+1, and this one too 65.466+4. So, who wins the "shoulda-woulda-coulda"? :? :D

As for next year, I'm just hoping I'm gonna be able to drive the beast without embarrassing myself. Sanford in Nov will probably be the first test...

With a passenger. :P

My driving stunk, but the course was great. I want to commend the course design this year - great flow with conservative use of cones. Keep it up ! Highlights included:
> Riding in Remchak's Z06
> Laughing uncontrollably for 72 seconds in Phil's Civic
> Seeing Whitney's inside/front tire off the ground in the P
> Watching Kevin Allen's ear-ear grin as he power-drifted around the left turn in the P, nearly going into the weeds sideways !

I thought the course was excellent. The stopbox at the end was kind of an awkward afterthought to me. I almost didn't even go through it the first time, it was so far away from the finish that I wasn't sure if it was actually part of the course or not.

It was a great event! I think that was some of my best driving all season! But Gwen still beat me!

My only suggestion, next time have the tree move out of the way on the way home!

Congratulations, Maila! You are now offically a certified, card carrying member of a very exclusive club within the THSCC. Welcome to the THSCC Ladies' chapter of the "Trees Fear Me" club! Cathy Taylor took out a tree with a Cesna, I hit a tree at the end of a stop box at an AutoX with the Mini, and now you've wacked a huge pine tree with the Durango. Tee shirt to follow!

Bonus...we all walked away!

Driving to and from the event was "interesting" for several other people. Mitch Moore found out the fun way that Azenis don't make for good rain tires (Why is he slowing down 15 mph as he's passing me to the event?) and I discovered that when the gauge fuse blows, you lose light to the speedometer *and* rear lights. Thanks to David Spratte and Les Davis for following me home.
