I'd like to volunteer to chair the Nov 19 non-pts event at Laurinburg. Wanna try something different - Vincent knows what it is. Cool We'd need an entry limit of around 80, though

???

It's in the autoX event chairs thread:

Well, with the October event in Laurinburg, I was never for sure that this November event would be in Laurinburg. Kevin is still welcome to chair it...no matter where it is if he wants to.

Well, I actually called this morning to make sure both Sanford and Laurinburg are both available...and they are.

I changed the poll...it is open for 7 days now (through this Thursday) so that I can make the reservation before the end of this week.

If you haven't voted yet, please do!

I voted for Laurinburg, but will be ok chairing it wherever. Laurinburg would be better for what I plan to do.

I really wasn't expecting this to be such a 50/50 split. I am surprised.

I voted Laurinburg becuase I NEED an excuse to get both new race tires and new street tires, and 2 months there ought to do it. That said, I would as easily take Sanford. Either of those over Danville, though (nothing against Danville, but I'd rather do L'burg or Sanford for this one).

Well, after Bowie's most excellent Treasurer's report last night, we announced that we would indeed be doing a free to THSCCers non-points Auto-X this November.....in SANFORD! Same date, November 19th. This event will be chaired by the Rally-Xer's, Kevin Allen and Brian Herring.

In turn, the Auto-X VP's will be chairing the November non-points Rally-X event on November 12th.

Another update.

This will be a members only event in Sanford, November 19th. We are doing this so we can get the maximum runs possible to reward our members for the great NCAC event that we put on.

Are the 80s jackets mandatory?

If you own one....by all means, sport it. I think I still have mine...but for some reason that scene from Tommy Boy comes to mind....."Fat guy in a little coat.....fat guy in a little coat..." My uncle bought me one about 3 years after they went out of style. I think I wore it to church once.
