Please read this carefully. There are many tips below that you can follow to help this event go smoothly.

It’s going to be hot, as always, bring plenty to drink and don’t forget the sunscreen. We will have water available for workers to take out to their stations when they check in to work.

THSCC MEMBERS – August 19th of the NCAC event will be considered our Points Event #6. You must run the event this day in order to receive points towards our year long class trophy.

TSCC MEMBERS – August 20th of the NCAC event will be considered your points event #7.

Please enter the Coliseum through the Ellington Street entrance on the south side of the Coliseum. See # 16 on the map here.

You will need to sign the waiver and get a wrist-band upon entrance (both participants and spectators).

Event Schedule

Friday: Early Registration and Tech – 6:30-9:30ish PM – We have hired the Coliseum Security for the lots, so feel free to leave your vehicles at the Coliseum. There is a $3 fee for parking on Saturday and Sunday, but once a vehicle is in the lot, you don’t have to pay for it again if you leave it all weekend. Carpool and save some money/gas.

Saturday: Gates open at 7AM – There is a $3 fee to enter the lot.
Registration: 8:00-9:00
Tech: 8:00-9:00
Drivers Meeting: 9:30 – Group 1 – put your car in grid on your way to the meeting. See below for run groups.
First Car Off: 10-10:15 AM

Sunday: Gates open at 7AM – Did I mention there is a $3 fee to enter the lot?
Registration: 7:45-8:45
Tech: 7:45-8:45
Drivers Meeting: 9:00 - Group 1 – put your car in grid on your way to the meeting. See below for run groups.
First Car Off: 9:30-9:45 AM

Entry Fees:
Both days: $50 (with T-shirt)
Single Day: $30 (w/o T-shirt)
Extra T-shirts: $10 (depending on availability). Extra shirts won’t be sold until registration is closed on Saturday and will be on a first come first serve basis.

Tech Inspection: We will be accepting Annual Tech Inspection stickers from any of the 4 participating clubs. Registration will be open on the evening of August 18th at the Coliseum. **********There will be a roving tech on Saturday and Sunday morning. Leave your hoods open if your car needs to be teched and one of the tech deputies will find you. ********

Run Group Format: We have a bunch of people signed up for this event, so we have split the entrants into 5 run groups in order to keep the grid down to a manageable size. Keeping the grid flowing smoothly is going to be key to getting everyone’s runs done in a timely manor. The Grid Workers will be wearing florescent vests. Please pay attention to them at all times when you are in grid. We will tentatively be making 3 runs per day. Saturday’s course will be reversed for Sunday.

***These run groups are tentative and subject to change (but probably not much) depending on the number of walk-ups that we get on Saturday morning. MAKE SURE YOU ATTEND THE DRIVERS MEETING BOTH DAYS SO THAT YOU ARE AWARE OF ANY CHANGES MADE.**

Group 1 - TIR, STS, STT, STU

Group 2 – All Individual Ladies Classes, STX, ASP, BP, BSP, CP

Group 3 - AS, CS, DS, GS, HS

Group 4 - SM, SSM, CSP, XP, GP, EM

Group 5 - BS, ES, FS, SS, DM, DP, DSP, EM, EP, ESP, FM, FSP

Novice and X class run with their open class.

Work Groups: You must sign in with the worker co-coordinators (Bernie Baake and Chris Brown) before going out to work!!! When you hear the airhorn, it is time for the next work group to report to the bus. Please don’t be late.

Group 1 runs - Group 4 works

Group 2 runs - Group 5 works

Group 3 runs - Group 1 works

Group 4 runs - Group 2 works

Group 5 runs - Group 3 works

Lunch: Domino’s Pizza will be served both days along with soda and water. The Pizza should arrive in the 11:45AM-12:00PM time frame each day.

Trophy’s and Prizes: Trophys and door prizes will be raffled off after the results are audited and all equipment has been cleaned up on Sunday afternoon. Everyone do what they can to help pick up the area around you.

Event Hotel: Best Western, Wendover Plaza Hotel, 1103 Lanada Drive, Greensboro, NC 27407. (336) 297-1055. Currently there are 35 rooms reserved. Make your reservations quickly and if we need more rooms, we will get more. The room rate is $69 a night. There are still plenty of rooms available.

***********************NCAC Club Cup************************

Event Info has been updated and is mostly complete at this point.

The only real unknown is the situation for Friday night and dropping off cars/trailers. You will definitely be able to leave them on Saturday night, but due to an event going on during the day on Friday, I am unsure if our "pit space" will be available that night. We hope to have a definitie answer on this soon.

The official site of the NCAC:

http://www.soloii.com

Has now been updated with the latest info from above. Plus random stuff I just made up. Drinking and web editing doesn't mix!

Stephen,
How many drivers must be in a class for the class to count toward the cup points?

Yeah, I didnt know we let that cat out of the bag.

If you see Jeff Eng, thank him. He designed the AWESOME T-shirt.

The king-o-bling got the printing done at the same place we got the "Last Rocky Mount" event tshirt done. This shirt wont fade and is a nice beefy Tshirt.

Any word yet on Friday night ability to leave stuff in pits?
Also, what security will there be?

I just got word this morning actually. You WILL be able to leave cars/trailers in the lot. We are paying for security from 10 PM to 6AM on Friday night and from 8PM to 6AM on Saturday night. Just leave a box of Krispy Kremes on your car if you want him to watch yours particularly well.

I will be sending out an e-mail tonight that should have all the info you need for the event (that is....if you were kind enough to include your e-mail address when you pre-registered). I will also be posting it here. Stay tuned....
