First let me say JUn Yang is not an Officer of TSCC,he is our webMaster only,He is also only 20 years old and prone to speak(or post) without thinking. As I said before my post on BRR wasnt meant as a serious attempt at recruiting, but more a jab at good friends I had been recruiting for years. If you read the post before mine you will see Ray Schumin( who already runs 5-6 events with Triad a year)Said he would join "if the price was right" .Me being the Smart A*s I am replied as I did.I never expected it to go any farther.I never expected my friends from BRR,VMSC or Autocrossers,Inc to actually join TSCC,just because Of this event. If they joined I would have hoped it had been out of our comradiery and friendship from the past years. We were doing no less and no more than any other club in this competition as far as recruiting.THSCC,CCR and Triad have each done THEIR share of recruiting over the last month, the only difference is,when a certain DM driver told us he was approached and asked to run for THSCC instead of his current affiliation,we said nothing. This is all BS.......And I'm tired of being accused of doing what everyone else is doing.I bent over backwards to make this thing happen, donating my time and my contacts but now I'M the bad guy....I'm tired of it all...........

What Marcus said (except for the Kevin comment. "No excuses, Kevin :) ).

Anyway, I'm in. What's the problem with a little competition? I don't care who shows up. Maybe another season of seat time has improved my chances of winning this year. Maybe not. But I'll never know if I don't show up.

If your decision to attend an event is based on your perceived chances to win, then your priorities are a bit skewed, eh?

For most of us, this is the closest we'll get to a national-level event. So... Quitcherbellyachin'. Get in. Strap up. Drive the hell out of the car. Drink a beer with your competitors 8)

Hmmm After reading Juns post again,I dont see much wrong here,He is trying to get more competition to the event...His only plug for driving for Triad is the offer of "A HUG" if they joined Triad,MAN thats a hard sell of recruiting !!!I know it WOULD convince me to drive for Triad !!! I THINK i'm with JASON AND TONYA,I think we will just sit this one out.Maybe this Club Cup wasnt such a good idea after all................

Anthony,
I do not know you from adam, however let me offer you what it looks like from the other side of the fence. Over the past month all I have seen a person who all I know about is that he is VP of another auto-x club, publicly question almost every decision made by our officers. Which to a lot of people (including me) is unacceptable for an officer of any club to do especially in an event that is supposed to be a co-operative effort. It seems a lot of the this could have been avoided by simply picking up the phone as Jim P pointed in a different thread on a different forum. Then when all this dies down, we see that same officer go out and try to recruit people from a different club to run under the TSCC banner, and know turn around and blame the other clubs including ours of doing the same thing. It probably would have been best if just offered your explanation and left at that. I know there is some saying about people who protest to much.

I know that you and all of the officers of the clubs are really trying to make this the best event, and I am sure your intent all these matters was to make the NCAC the biggest and best event of the year in NC not hurt participation by any club. For the people who have not decided to come due to the "drama" that has been associated with this event, please reconsider. You will miss out on a great event, and just like everything once the event is here it will only be about auto-crossing and having a good time.

THSCC web forums are not a place to ever question, communicate via phone or some other means, web forum critique is always taken the wrong way, I know. . .

David, Anthony and everybody else-- seriously, give it a rest already. Can we quit worrying about "appearances" and focus on having a quality event? Is that really too much to ask?

I've met the people on all sides of the event and nobody is the bad guy here. If people choose to sit out due to the "drama", that's cool. I will personally be disappointed by their absence but nothing further is going to get clarified at this point bickering on web forums.

Hey, here's an idea. We can all discuss this face to face at an upcoming event and I think everybody will realize how silly most of this stuff is. Man, if I could only think of such an event where we could all come together. What could it be? What could it be?

Do we need a theme for this year's event? At this point I'm thinking STFUAD. The last 2 words are "and drive" and I'll let you figure out the rest.

Money can't buy happiness, but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche than a Kia.

Come on, Brice. Turning into a drama queen isn't going to help anything.

Gee Jim, I though that was what I was trying to get everyone to do, but I guess I failed since you focused in the lest important part of the message.

I was thinking something more along the lines of "The Fast and The Furious 4 - NCAC Drama"....I will let you determine which club is which.
