All five runs. I got it right twice. The other three, I was behaving like a carnally curious primate experimenting with an oblong leather bladder-filled piece of sports paraphernalia.

Same here, all 5 runs, mainly to get the car rotated.

Nope and personally while I never felt I did the finish that well, I don't think that 1st would have worked for me at all.

I did on my third run and botched it. On my fourth and fifth runs, I stayed in first for the full course. Those were my best two runs, including my 34.626.

I did once on my last run and it turned out to be my quickest run. The only reason I did that is because I found myself making the last turn into the finish box more and more of a sharp angle, thus loosing momentum.

How did everyone go through the figure eight at the end of the parking lot? I think each run I let the car drift closer and closer to the cone wall to setup for the exit.

I did on my third run I think! It was pitiful. I believe that it was far more important to get the LINE proper for the the finish, when I tried shifting I lost the line and so I quickly forgot about that move on the next run.

I did on every run, though I'm not sure if it helped or not. :whoknows:

From the outside looking in...

1. I didn't see or hear of any computer issues
2. I didn't see or hear of any issues with the timing equipment.
3. Low cone count?
4. Low rerun count (see #1, 2 and 3). (How many reruns did we do??)

To answer these

1. Nope, no computer issues, except for a couple of people who needed to be added to the registration list.
2. No issues with the timing equipment, except for one of the cards on the display. It would show 5 as a 9.
3. VERY low cone count. I should look at that when I get home to see what the number actually was.
4. Again VERY low. I'll look at that also.

3 & 4 are the result of a very fun, very fast, minimally cone intensive course. These are the events that I enjoy working and running.

Good job guys!!!!!!!

Yep Shifting to first on my last 2 and slowest runs, rest of the time I was in 2nd gear ASAP after the start and in VTEC (YO!) for most of the course thanks Jim and Bernie (And whoever else help design the course) I was right in the del sol's powerband for the whole course :).

I treated it like two turns and really only worried about getting close to the inside cone after the double gate and the last one before heading back out to the double gate.

So yeah, I'd let it slide out to the back wall.

And I hear we aren't suppose to refer to it as a "figure 8."

That's just Matt using his figure skating analogies again. Just wait until he mentions the triple axel slalom. :P

Average ET between runs for the 2-driver cars was 5:14.

This includes:
Driving back to the grid and backing in the parking spot: 0:41
Waiting in grid: 2:54
Waiting in the staging line: 1:19

No issue! Just seems like a very short period when you're in the heat of the battle!

During the heat I worked grid (constantly checking my watch) there were actually only three fewer 2-driver cars than there were in the A or B grids. This made it very hectic for the drivers, since the 20-sec. launch interval moved the 9 or 10 single driver cars through in about 4 minutes! Hence, the very quick turn-around time.
We were a victim of our own extreme efficiency :D

I went to first once, when I almost took out the inside wall of cones. The diff is gone in the Camaro, so putting it into first would serve no purpose. Saturday night, my last three runs I left it in second the whole course.

Strano was right, the Auburn diff is only good for 6-10 runs and it goes away quickly. I will be going through diffs faster than tires. The car sucks without limited slip and 300 ft/lbs to the rear wheels!
